The mastermind who appears before Hikaru and Alma is none other than Aljis, the leader of ARMS, along with his Mechagauntlet Fist. But beneath Aljis' mask lies the face of Yakumo, who was supposed to have died 100 years ago.

And so, the final battle over the Mechagauntlets and their wielders begins now.

Preparing for climax fight. Everyone united as one, except Hikaru who's fighting for his own life.

Man I do not want this show to end 😢 beyond sad thinking that we’ve only got a couple episodes left. This has easily been the most underrated show this season and one of my faves of the year.

It looks like right until the end they’re gonna keep throwing twists at us wtf. We just got the Yakumo twist and now you’re telling me that it’s not actually Yakumo, but Fist controlling his body necromancer style?? That’s equal parts great writing as it is disturbing wtf. Just imagining all of his scenes now as a reanimated corpse is so dark. My early theory is that somehow, at the end, Yakumo spirit will come back and take control of his body to help Alma stop Fist.

This series obviously has a ton of Transformers references and looks like our latest one is Fist and Alma relationship being a Megatron/Optimus type set up. Fist is obsessed with the allspark/ordela and sees humans purely as a tool to obtain it, while Alma has grown to love humanity with all their flaws.

NOOO HIKARU! Gotta be some sort of asspull that’ll happen while he’s in this dream world. Ain’t no way he’s dead. Just a matter of how it’ll happen.

Seeing Fubuki and Aki working together is gonna be dope too. Fitting it’s to take down Amaryllis too. Then their family will finally be able to rest in peace.

Gonna be fun seeing what sort of twists they throw at us in the last two eps. I know Sawano and Yamamoto will have something special for me too+hopefully animation looks more like it did a few episodes ago.

P.S Shirayama ability to turn everything in a romcom reference amazing lmao.

Is it just me or was the pacing incredibly wonky this episode? Felt like so much was happening with such little time and there is a lack of space for dealing with the consequences of what happened. That Amaryllis fight ended as soon as it started too (although to be honest I'm glad she's gone cuz I don't like her)

Hopefully this doesn't happen again in the last two episodes. This was a nice show to watch, so it would be a shame to see it mess up at the finish mark.

hope the fight animation comes back hard for the last fight. it was not bad. but its missing the dynamics it had before and has been toned down quite a bit. and also the pacing as someone said was very quick and odd. but things happen. not a big deal as long as the last 2 episodes get full focus and slow it down

It was Fist the entire time, he wants Mecha-Ude to control the world.
That fused form was pretty cool looking.
Great seeing the twins in action, hopefully Amaryllis is gone once and for all.
As for Hikaru, maybe some kind of miracle can bring him back to life.

Ah that makes more sense for it to be Fist behind everything. If Yakumo is just a corpse shouldnt they have noticed the smell all along? Lol

The location Hikaru was hit seems a bit inconsistent. Before it looked mid torso but later it was shown on his stomach.

SOO MANY CHARACTERS! Despite the constant shifting between them all, this episode was still all in all a chaotic masterpiece. Surprised how well everyone held up after Hikaru's death! Fun ep!

Ok, so it wasn't like a change of fate suddenly from Yakumo, it was the Mecha-ude all along. While that does make sense I still wonder how was he able to pass off under the radar like that from the radar. Like how did it present itself with a robot dead beat and form a squad. Well, in any case, Hikaru got shot by a laser and it seems like he's now in limbo all the while Aki and her sister are able to pull off the full potential of Sinus and Rex (how did one of them transfer so easily?) in order to beat Amaryllis... again.

There are some questionable points but the plot progression is very engaging towards the finale, especially with the delusional love story.

@SmolArtEffect I agree. You could see that they were fighting Fist and then he kidnapped Hikaru, and next shot he was using Alama again with Hikaru on the ground. Also, Amaryllis received a powerup twice in this episode from her base form in the span of like 5 minutes.

It feels like they had multiple sequences in mind, animated each of them partially, and edited them together to try to fit everything in.

I thought this was gonna be silly, goofy, & awesome fights, but to destroy my hopes and dreams with this ending is too much. I can't wait to see the development within the next few weeks.

The twist of good vs. evil with Aijis being Yakumo through a corpse, but to have Fist coagulate with the idea of returning home with Alma using Ordela's power, he is trying to repeat the course of history putting humans in danger by driving them to extinction and raising their comrades instead. Even up till this point, Aki and Jun's bickering on Hikaru is the continuous gag, but it's clear that both Amaryllis and Fist are the final bosses to match inheriting Ordela's power.

While Hikaru thankfully omits Alma from the calamity, the inevitable cannot be stopped as he sacrificed himself while Fist fused with Ordela, leaving both ARMS and Kagami Group at a standstill to work together and solve the big issue. Letting the Murasame sisters deal with Amaryllis is one thing, but will Hikaru awaken?

Action was somewhat underwhelming. The twin mecha with the sisters true power unleash specially but otherwise good stuff. Hikaru though...move, do something. Come on.

Btw this episode made me wonder what if Kagami is a girl, idk just had a feeling watching him fight with Aki over Hikaru.

this show really has a potential.
but even reaching finale, I'm still wondering when, or what, or why the MC comes from the weakest changed his status to the strongest here, is it solely because of Alma alone, or something? because we know the MC arbitrium is weak af.

Oner is so funny, spineless, but funny.
Amaryllis really is like a giant flower.
