Why did Toriashi Shouma eyes change color? Is it just me that thinks this in episode 9?

His eyes were definitely orange during his fight scene, the animation and visuals were quite dodgy in episode 9 in general, it's probably production issues.

I noticed that both Yoshino and Kirishima's eyes also changed to bright orange in the last scene they apear at episode nine. And if i'm not mistaken it also happened some times more before when they were acting kinda psycho, so maybe is was made on purpose. It is not uncommon to see animators use eye color changes to indicate how the character feels, when I watched it I actually thought that was the case, but who knows...

This! the only time the color changes is when they go into badass murder/Yakuza mode. I think it's fun.

No, it's not production issues. They made Shouma's eyes glow yellow just like Kirishima or Yoshino's eyes glow yellow when they do something badass or dangerous or they're in a fight. Shouma was in fight mode so that's why his eyes were yellow.
