It only took the whole season for us to finally get serious—not only did the ED not play, but, in typical Re:Zero fashion, the OP didn’t play either. Getting into the meat of the episode, since this is the final one for a while, of course, it had to be serious, right? Well, not even a minute into Priscilla entering the room, and we’re already turning into a comedy with her sending Al flying into Liliana xD For some reason, that part was super well-animated, too. Now, onto what I’d say is the second most important part of the episode: the Crusch and Subaru scene with the curse. Very nice development for Subaru, two episodes in a row now, with some AMAZING character animation. We also got some hints about what the next cour has in store, like the whole "Counterattack" setup. And then we get to the end of the episode with the MOST HYPE MOMENT: Subaru coming in to save the day (with Reinhard too, I guess), hitting Regulus with that “I OBJECT TO THIS WEDDING! I’LL BE TAKING THAT BRIDE!” AHHHHH What a hype way to end this first part of the season. Until February it is though! |

Actually I’m not so sure how to feel about those sudden insert songs from Liliana, throughout these last few episodes, every time they wanna break the ice. I mean you know, we were just returning from such a bold declaration heard wide and live, so yeah, need to maintain the mood lol. Still, that ain’t really a nitpick but okay. Again, I’d say I liked how this arc has kept these characters, who were introduced in a horde, relevant, till the end. Otto being one of them, I mean this guy has been around for so long, and has paid his dues, but liked how he just wasn’t sidelined. Now yeah, we’re halfway through, and have seen how horrid this arc can turn out for people if they just jump into the scene for the sake of it. Crusch really had bad luck this time, I mean she knows she couldn’t contribute, and then yeah, now has to deal with whatever Capella left her with. Will have to wait three months now to see how much this roundtable meeting would be worth of, but yeah, for all that build-up we had, really looking forward to the rest of the arc now. Also, Emillia really didn’t have to go THAT far against Regulus lol. Dude has issues with his temperament after all. That entry was sick, but yeah, now the wait will hurt. |

Some LN Extra Details (Volume 18 Chapter 4-5.1) - Everyone gets a chance to complaint and picking on Reinhard about him being missing around the time of crisis - Subaru realised that he is speaking too casually to Otto, but everyone didn't mind since Subaru seems a bit more relaxed. - Otto originally planned to get the restorer, Darts in Pristella to do the restoration on the book - Subaru declared that he's the one who's going to marry Emilia and that surprised everyone around him. - Wilhelm referenced that there are someone that can manipulate corpses in the past during the Demi-human war. The known person of the demi-human faction during that time are the hero of the demi-humans Libre Fermi, the great strategist Valga Cromwell, and the witch Sphinx. - Subaru is wondering who is this witch Sphinx since the witches he knew does not have that name. Subaru thinks that she must be really infamous to be able to hold the witch title - The curse transfer does not seems to be an 1-to-1 exchange, but more like 1-to-10 or even more - Subaru noted he would have to wear long sleeve and glove from now on to hide the cursed hand Differences from LN - Al's seeming to be more on annoyance with Subaru before the arrival of Priscilla - Subaru is the one causing Liliana to fall by turning around and pushing her off after she arrived, instead of Al - Ferris described in LN to looked worse since his eyes are red and swelling because of his crying - Skipped Reinhard's explanation of his absence since it was already directly shown earlier in the anime - The curse transfer seems to be quite effective in anime, but actually it is only a slight difference in the LN because of the inequivalence exchange |

As expected of the director, the character acting was quite strong here and it showed, especially during the scene with a bed-ridden Crusch and the entire sequence with Bride Emilia and Groom Regulus. Overall this season has been excellent so far, and I for one, cannot wait to see how it concludes next February! |

Priscilla's back and she stepped on Al, jealous. As Subaru mentioned, gotta love how competent she is. Was painful to watch Crusch like that but atleast Subaru managed to take some of that. One of those two cultist from before was Wilhelm's wife after all. Could already guess about what really happened between Wilhelm and Reinhard. The meeting's over and the matchups here. Knew Reinhard was the one to go for Regulus. Hyped for the fight but gotta wait more than two months for the next episode so welp that's gonna suck. Also a moment of silence for Subaru. Atleast she knows who she'll fall for. |

Re:Cliffhanger strikes again. Man, this was such a great episode. There were some massive reveals like Otto somehow still possessing the Book of Wisdom from Season 2 and Wilhelm's wife / Reinhard's grandmother still being "alive" and how she died 15 years ago. The direction was excellent as always and it's a strong buildup for the 2nd cour which will air later. Seeing Crusch's situation just breaks my heart... She was arguably the best Royal Selection candidate but she got fucked by Gluttony in Season 2 and then by Lust in Season 3. She really can't catch a break... I wonder what would've happened if Subaru had taken all of Crusch's curse. Would she have gotten better? Would Subaru get weaker? Either way, she deserved better. The scene where Subaru took some of her curse was very well-animated. Speaking of which, the "post-credits" scene was so good. Especially Subaru and Reinhard breaking that door. Such a hype scene! Attack part is finally over. Counterattack will begin on February 5, 2025. That's like 2.5 months away. You can tell that it's going to be great from the build-up from this episode alone. So, the wait will definitely be worth it. But man, I still can't wait. 2025 can't come fast enough! Counterattack Part KV |

I knew they'd throw a curveball at us in the form of a cliffhanger but for it to be a happy-ish one? Colour me surprised there, xD. Jokes aside though, the two definitely got their timing on the dot. Were they per chance lurking around and waiting for Emilia to drop the mic? I kind of wish that's true, lol. Also, I freakin' love Ishida Akira-san's voice, and he's making me hate Corneus that much too, I expected no less! Man's got a few screws loose in him and that too even in Re:Zero world, yikes. Wilhelm-san soon to fight his wife and former swordsman, that's got to be complicated feelings asf. Gee, here's to hoping his wife still has some of herself left behind but that will just mean he'll have to finish off with his own hands. Biggest dilemma for a married man, that. Leaving Reinhard the painful role is massive respect. I wonder if the in-between have any role, lol. Crusch-sama's condition seems very dire and no word of Felt-sama yet, the situation's not roses and sunflowers yet... Julius and Anastasia-sama's wolf gang leader teaming up, I hope we get to see the development on their end too. And we already know Priscilla-sama will be getting a hype moment, if the Op is anything to go with! Got to give my hat to Otto too, he's on his own little search on clearly one of the most suspicious person in the series, lmao. I'm glad not everyone just dropped the ball and forgot to take him into equation. I wonder what the prototype Gospel will have for us because they ain't obviously handing it over like a done deal, am I right? Can't wait for Feb. now! Solid first half, in my opinion. But I've a feeling the main showdown's still to come! |

NO OP NO ED, 2 MONTHS BREAK TO DREAD BUT THIS EPISODE WAS GREAT!!! It seems even behind the scenes Otto was constantly looking out for Subaru, Emilia and the rest of the members from the Emilia camp. As the advisor, he's even gone so far as to be wary of Roswaal and managed to even get the Book of Wisdom's remnants from the sanctuary. He's truly a massive addition to the camp and a loyal friend! Subaru being able to take in Crusch's dragon blood's corruption is nothing short of surprising, but it must definitely have something to do with the authority that he has. It can't possibly be a blessing or magical power, but this is precisely why SUBARU IS THE GOAT!!! The man's first action after testing that he's somehow capable of transferring her ailments onto himself is to do it again, after all... If the phrase "What doesn't kill me make me stronger" was true, then Subaru would be the very first to make the jump and try to 'heal' Crusch had she herself requested for him to not do so. Fucking hell, such a badass display of selflessness, he truly is a legend! Notice how nobody in the meeting tried to even disapprove of Subaru's strategic plans. As the grand strategist who never lost a single campaign (in their eyes) Subaru's fame and impressive lists of accomplishments hold great authority and demand respect from his peers who are some of the most powerful individuals around. I'm glad Reinhardt went along with Subaru, because out of all the Sin Archbishops, Regulus and his authority of Greed make him truly invincible in the conventional sense. Speaking of Regulus, I was grinning ear to ear the entire time when emilia stood up to him and berated to him on what a marriage should have been, in front of all his enslaved 'wives' and straight to him. To even go as far as mentioning Subaru's name several times was the cherry on top before that particular cherry sent a flying door right into Regulus' face! LMAO. "We're here to object to this wedding! I'll be taking your bride now!" This has got to be some of the most epic cliffhanger I;ve seen. Man I'm so sad that Re:zero-Wednesday will not be around for the next 2 months, but alas, I must wait... Be patient my dear heart for Subaru's greatness will be portrayed through and through when the time has come! |

This was the laziest episode of this cour yet, we do know why. It was just planning and stuff, still wasn't captivating enough. It was great to see some suspense, even Mentioning the name Roswaal gives me chills. I want more of his character. Otto best Boy since S1, still providing all the help from behind. Somehow he got the key to those riddles everybody struggles with. He's truly the one who's blessed, I'd say!! Also Crusch-san, Please don't call Subaru-Sama. It's weird. YOU are the Boss, woman. Call him names. But the ending was great. Good to see Emilia holding strong. Now the Better part of this arc, after a short break. |

An episode that is more indiividual parts than the sum of it. Ended in the exact cliffhanger I thought it would. Some of the coolest Subaru faces. Is it only my perception, or has the shading, lighting and texture seems to have improved? Solid cour, has it's flaws like in Ep 3 and 6, but shows that we can forever trust White Fox. Lot of things will happen irl before February, so Ig I can cope with the delay anyway. |

Damn, sad to see Crush in such a state. Thankfully Subaru eased her pain a bit. Attaboy! The wedding crashers are here and Reinhard was the door kicking MVP. Tough cliffhanger. These 8 episodes were great, but merely felt like an appetizer(despite extra length) in retrospect and flew by way too quickly. Can't wait for the return of Re:Zero. |

I'm now wondering if Regulus will get 1-shoted by Reinhard or if the ensuing battle results in Regulus's wives massacred due to collateral damage (as well as a good chunk of the city). As I see from comments, no new episode until February 2025??? That's insane! Major disappointment. |

TALK YOUR SHIT EMILIA 🗣️🗣️🗣️ Mostly just setup in this episode for the real meat and potatoes that’ll come in the 2nd half a few months from now, but that ending scene had me hyped. This was mainly a preparation episode, but it was a great one at that. Seeing Crusch in her current condition saddens me, but she is hopeful that Subaru and the rest can win against the witch cultists. Ferris has been doing his best and you blame him for feeling demoralised for not being able to help out more, but his efforts will pay off. Stay strong, Ferris! The scene with Emilia and Regulus was the main highlight of the episode for me. Emilia was resolute and brave to voice what she believes is the right thing to say towards a haphazard man like Regulus. Just as when it looked like he would succeed to hurtung her after he snapped, Subaru and Reinhard literally kick the bloody door off and the one Reinhard kicked ended up hitting Regulus hard, which was hilarious! We do have to wait until February for Re Zero to resume, but it will be a 2 and a bit months worth waiting for just so we can see this awesome series in action again. =) |

Im little worried about the Tome of Wisdom. Someone that can restore an heavily burned magic book, sound like someone that could use it. Ferris "accidentally" pushing Subaru over Crusch. Is a thought that probably came up. Willhelm telling about Theresia story sounds like the God of the Sword just said "Nah, lost battle. Next!" If this was a more comedic series. Everyone would trade knowing looks when Willhelm interrupted the other corpse soldier identity brainstorm. |
