The persistence of young Murai into wanting to marry Tanaka by hook or by crook, the growing-up stages between the two ever since the time that the latter passed her bass to him as a way of remembrance, that has always been the ONLY thing on his mind that he wanted Tetsuko to see TenTen within him. But Earth to Murai, and everyone just clamours at him trying to boost his in-the-dumps morale in the most hilarious manner being cheerleaders to his soul.

Rather than Yamakado, Tanaka deciding to face Murai's absence herself with his best pals stopping him at all measures, having to present the modified Hitotose face of the bass to Tanaka...and all that's in her mind is of his young self that she couldn't remember the name to for the long while, that is until now with the emotional reunion between student and teacher. And Yamakado turning from rival to wingman for both Tanaka and Murai, even future-proofing their marriage in 5 years after his graduation balancing their emotions, what a twist that's ultimately for the good.

Even their timeskip is the testament between Murai who followed in Tanaka's footsteps in becoming a teacher, nice.

It's a decent show, carried by everything else than animation. Can't say that I didn't like it, but it was hit-and-miss.

The ending there felt a bit rushed, but can't say I didn't love every second of it. Goddamn this was such a good show, can't believe I would've missed it if not for a misclick lol.

Probably one of my favorite romance in recent years right alongside the dangers in my heart

the episode end the way it should, with tanaka and murai - the real one - resolved their issue and got together. yamakado should not had such realtion with tanaka, it is not in manga. i've been pissed of about that for 3 episodes. but seen tanaka and murai getting resolved made my day.

5 years are long time, I refuse to believe that nothing happen during that gap, but then again, even if something happen, it's unlikely to be shown due to various reasons.

The ending was pretty good, I’m glad there was a happy ending.

Overall, it’s not bad but if the animation was better, it could’ve been better.

I thought it was nice, I do think out of all the anime Hulu/Disney+ have acquired this may be their weakest. but it was still good.

if I were to put them on a list, it would go something like this

1 Heavenly delusion/tengoku diamakyou
2 Undead Unluck,
3 Summer time rendering
4 Bleach: Thousand year blood war
5 Go Go loser ranger
6 Mission yozakura family
7 Sand land the series
8 Star Wars visions
9 Code geass rozé of the recapture
10 the tatami time machine blues
11 The fable
12 Ishura
13 Black rock shooter dawn fall
14 Phoenix Eden17
15 Tokyo revengers
16 Synduality noir
17 Zen-Grogo and the dust bunnies
18 Murai in love

I just want to make it clear that all of these are great shows. However, this is how I would rate them.

if there are any I missed, let me know

That was a refreshing show, i think its a hidden gem because of the comedy which is absolutely peak in my opinion. On the other hand the animation is a bit simple but weird on his own way so i dont mind.

Pretty damn good finale, we got the complete backstory for Murai and Tanaka at long last and that ended up tying into the last moments of the episode. First things first tho, I really liked Murai’s inner discussion with Hitotose, he may just be a VN character but overcoming him before getting with Tanaka makes a lot of sense, and he spoke the absolute truth too, out here cooking Murai lol, but that’s the best he can do before he lets his girl get stolen. It’s what Murai needed to hear tho, and what led us into the big reveal where Tanaka finally found out that Murai is that same boy from the past, I had a feeling we’d see him return to his original look for that, it’s fitting tho that he’s no longer trying to be someone else, just Murai this time.

And this was basically enough to seal the deal with Tanaka, but not before Yamakado came in and gave them the okay pretty much, they just have to wait five years lol, but even tho Yamakado lost he was a real one to the end, I’m glad he did such a bro thing even after getting his heart broken, hopefully he’ll be blessed with a babe of his own one day. And then we got one last scene showing Murai in the future as a teacher himself, we unfortunately did not get to see him with Tanaka but we got confirmation that they got together which is really nice, I really would like to know what happened in the time skip or how they are as a couple, but for the ending of the anime I can say I really liked this, our boy actually won his hot teacher in the end.

And that was the boy loves his teacher anime, this was such a good time, early on it got a lot of shit for its style of animation (which really there isn’t much lol) but I personally found it to be very unique and made for a watch unlike any other, and it often added to the comedy of the show which was already very good, I’ve definitely laughed a lot over these last few months. And not only was it a funny ass show, the romance story was also very good, this wasn’t simply an age gap relationship, it had a lot more going for it with the backstories of both Murai and Tanaka, not to mention all the great side characters that made it even better, Hirai and Yayoi’s romance subplot was one of my personal favorite parts even. I also really liked the OP and ED, both super catchy and great songs, I don’t think I’ll be getting them out of my head anytime soon lol, definitely favorites of mine this fall season. I’m sad that this one is over now, it really was a great fill of goofiness every week, but it was a great ride, I really hope to see something that can match its energy in the future.

One of the best romcoms in recent years. Even the quirky animation is part of its charm. Yoko Hikasa killed it in this role and if you're a fan of hers, this anime is a must watch. 8/10

Is the anime same as manga? The final episode felt rushed. If they are not the same, i was thinking of buying the 7th volume.

Can’t agree more, hearing Mio Akiyama as a grown woman is always a treat, and she keeps grabbing a few good roles every season 👍🏼

This show was such a wild ride but I was always invested and entertained to see where it would go. The comedy was great and I always found myself laughing out loud on multiple occasions. I'm sure for most people they were probably happy with the ending since we all sorta knew Murai was endgame. But for me, I won't deny that I actually feel pretty bittersweet with this ending. Probably because I have strong second-lead syndrome but I really loved Yamakado and the last few episodes had me die-hard routing for him ^^; (which I knew was going to set me up for disappointment bc he wasn't going to win)

On the one hand, I'm glad Murai and Tanaka were able to reconcile. But on the other hand, Yamakado steps out of the romantic picture with Tanaka, which makes me sad since I loved his interactions with her a lot (especially in ep. 11). A part of me wishes an AU exists where she still chooses to Yamakado and maturely lets down Murai and expresses her thanks for his earnest love for her after all these years lol. Overall, a fun show and binged it in a couple of days!
