Ye, grown up Alicia has a much more mature vibe and thinks like an adult more now too. Adding to her elegant looks, she also seems more confident. I love the black dress and eyepatch.

She also didn't waste time to show what she's learned after all training. Still can't stand Liz in this show but she remains a relevant cast member given her influence.

There is a massive logic hole here; how is Alicia supposed to act effectively as Liz’s watcher when her father essentially committed treason by forcing her to train for 2 years (the watcher role was appointed by the king) especially when Liz has had 2 years to infect and corrupt the wider world

I didn't expect for that to be how she gets her eyepatch at all. Liz with that narcissim, jeez. That everyone is given to her and will work out.

So that's how she lost her eye or actually gave it. When I first saw her with an eyepatch in the OP I thought she was just wearing it to look more like a villainess but nope. She messed up at the end there though. Better make up with Duke fast. They both love each other. Wanted to see how Henry or her mother reacted to her eye but nope.

The king relieved her of that role after the kidnapping incident which threatened Alicia's life. Alicia still wanted to continue thus her father set the condition that if she can reach lvl 90 he'll let her do it which was the whole point of the training.

"Massive logic hole" lol. Maybe actually watch the episodes.

Just when Alicia thought she can handle Liz, Duke suddenly becomes someone she can't handle. Being villainess is surely a difficult lifestyle.

With that said, I see nothing wrong about Alicia going solo. If Duke is someone who'll go away after her insult, then he doesn't deserve her love, he doesn't deserve to marry someone that sacrifice her own eye for a poor villager (even if that villager might turn out to be someone important). Those noble society that always discuss how to improve the village for years or even decades yet still do nothing doesn't worth Alicia.

I really hate every time duke pops up into a scene. It's so lame how Alicia is lowering herself and feeling guilty about telling him off when he was in fact sticking his nose in her business. This definitely takes her from a 10/10 character to a 5/10, my opinion of that little boy went down too when he didn't take her side. Duke is like a curse on this show, he ruins every scene he's in.

It feels like the less Liz in any episode, the better really 😬

I get that she has to be the frustratingly robot-like "perfect" character, as she is in the game, but it makes it very annoying to watch it so many episodes without any change πŸ˜… I guess (or hope) that things will start to change and be revealed in the next few episodes now that Alicia is back at school though.

Alicia is back and beautiful as ever and then she gave away her eye immediately. She later lectured that other girl about looks but she also didn't care except just vibes. Huge respect for caring so much about Will who in the end still is an unknown villager to her. People are blabbering about Liz and her "kindness" have no clue.
Alicia bestest girl.

She finally after two years dragged Liz down to earth.
"You hate me don't you"
That literally shocked her and exposed her true intentions. 1 day and she started to break her farce already.
Loved to see it.

Duke miscommunication should pass off soon ig. I mean the dude was really scared for her to see after two years in that state, even Alicia knew she was in the wrong.
That Mel spirit at end looks really cute.

yikes, she was doing fine until that moment with Duke. He's been suffering these 2 years in this hell Liz made and... One of most evil things she's done, but of course, not what she really wanted and considered lame, because that what being evil is, lame.

@WaterMage Is it though? I wonder if these spirits are working through Liz for their own agenda.
And who was that at the end, who seems aware of everything? Another player from the "REAL" World?

Loved this episode, I was always worried about how Alicia was going to lose her eye and it turns out it was such a beautiful gift to someone she cares so much about and I'm glad Alicia had that loaded about how Liz only stopped Alicia back then.

Omg so that’s how Alicia got her eyepatch! I thought she was just going thru a chuuni phase to look more like a villainess πŸ˜‚. Giving up an eye so Will could see is so beautiful and one of the coolest sacrifices we’ve seen in a villainess show. Got chills when I realised Will had never even seen his grandson before that “that’s what you look like” got me 😒

Alicia new outfit and with the black patch is so beautiful omg. She’s gorgeous. Prettiest one eyed girl for sure.

I’m so tired of Liz’ perfect goody goody two shoes gimmick. I like how Alicia was able to mess with her and get her thinking about the negative feelings in her heart lol. The angel might be hiding some darkness after all. Also, her follower Jane is annoying af

And right on cue this nonce Duke shows up to ruin the episode as per. You haven’t seen Alicia in two years and your first reaction is to be mad at her making a sacrifice for her friend who frankly she’s closer to than you lol. Alicia was right to tell his bum ass off. I hate that she feels bad and regrets it tho.

Good episode tho!

@Sheol01 Alicia forced Liz into the corner and all she can say I am Saint I can do no wrong. Uttering the word saint looked like had negetive effect on her simp army. Even that girl was bothered. Maybe their spell is breaking just like what happened to Henri her brother.

And I am not 100% but that pink haired girl is pretty sure is Duke's spirit Mel.

Honestly, I think Alicia was very much in her right to yell at Duke. He was acting way too possessive of her, as if he had a right to know every detail of her life, I don't think she's done anything wrong there

So much happened in this episode after Alicia's return! I was shocked when she gave her eye to Will—that explains why she’s wearing an eye patch in the opening. The way Alicia confronted Liz and her follower was absolutely spectacular.

Poor Duke. Alicia’s words hit him hard. Her mouth said one thing, but her eyes told a completely different story. And as they say, the eyes are the windows to the soul. She had a moment of hesitation since she clearly doesn’t know how to express herself properly with Duke.

Duke literally saved her life 2 years ago. It must be frustrating for him to know that someone you care so much doesn't value it's own life.

I thought she was going to improve the land / soil, but her giving eye to the blind man was something selfless, loving, and spectacular.

That was a great return to the academy and discussion with Liz, that made me happy that she is back to put Liz in her place and improve on Liz's motivation to help, but instilling the need to actually work to accomplish her goals.

Hm... I actually don't think she was wrong for what Alicia said to Prince Duke, he has been watching over her by his own desire, not something Alicia asked for or desired, for him to be angry at her giving away her own eye by her own will, without even asking what happened first, that is near possessive behavior, when they are not even in a relationship, not that such possessiveness is good for a relationship.

I would have been better if he greeted her after two years with happiness and then asked her what happened to her eye.

I don't think she trampled on his feelings or heart, I think what she said nocked him back to actually think about what he does and consider her feelings thoughts, before demanding explanations and imposing himself on her like he did.

Kind of annoying that they're going to play off her rebuke of the Duke as what she didn't want to say. Every word she said then was absolutely the truth. The Duke is creepy AF.
Also weird how a couple episodes ago they mentioned Liz was close to graduation, and here we are 2 years later and shes still there?

@donslockz I disagree, it is not that Alicia does not value her life.

Alicia by her own will, out of selfless concern and care, desired to give her eye away to bless the blind grandpa she loves for helping her so much.

It has nothing to do with her not valuing her own life or health.

I also do not think it is appropriate to call her an "it".

She was of course right, but also wrong. They had feeling for each other and she was almost killed, then suddenly went monc mode for 2 years and after that again did some dangerous stuff to herself. She didn't think that people could worry about her. She didn't even go straight home after 2 years.
I can understand why prince could act this way. But he was obviously overreacting.

@donslockz I see, if you need help reading / writing in English, feel free to send me a message, I try to help, if you don't mind.

I think I understand what you mean now ... please correct me if I am wrong.

You see them as two people that have feelings for each other after life and death situations, but Alicia disappeared for two years without a word to the prince.

The prince is frustrated and angered from hearing all the rude comments and rumors during this time, unable to really step in or stand up for Alicia's name, and not receiving any letter or communication from Alicia.

Then Alicia returns without informing her family or the prince, and worse missing an eye.

So the prince knowing that she gave her eye to someone else, he is going to be not just concerned and worried, but also kinda curious and jealous about what she is doing and who this person is, causing him to become excited and impulsively rush over to question her, not mad, more saddened by such news, wondering what she is thinking.

Is this more like you are saying?

man that ending was rough. Alicia can't process her feelings and ended up hurting someone she actually cares about. I hope they patch things up quickly and don't make it a whole thing. Alicia is isolated enough, she needs his support still. and obviously he cares for her, and (even if temporarily upset) will regret it if their relationship doesn't heal

So you didn’t see the three scenes …

1. The King to the Father

2. The Father to Alicia

3. The King to the Prince

… which explain that the King gave the father permission to have Alicia stop or to change what she was going?

honestly..I don't think Alicia's reply to Duke was that rude or wrong as they made it seem. I understand he was worried but he always seems to feel so entitled about her like I know you liked her since forever but you guys are like friends)?? and she was right, she didn't ask for that kind of treatment nor she deserves to be blamed. c'mon after all these years does he still don't know her.. also giving her eye to Will..i thought she would perform a spell to make him see again but no, they made it more realistic and it really shows how much she is willing to give for those she cares for..Alicia my role model fr

The return of the villainess.
What she did with Will was pretty amazing.
I like that look with the eyepatch Gill gave her.
She definitely got on over Liz in that exchange.
Glad to see even she realized she made a mistake when it came to Duke.
We finally get to see Mel.

That Liz simp is so annoying. Glad Alicia wrecked her. I'm hoping we'll see a moment where Alicia completely breaks down Liz's facade and she just snaps and loses her mind. That would be amazing to see.

Even though people say the Duke is technically in the wrong, I can't blame him for feeling that way. His dream girl disappears for two years without saying anything and then she shows up missing an eye. I can see why he'd react like that.

Accelerating the plot is fine for an adaptation, but the acceleration has a reached a point where a lot of character nuance is simply being lost. Not a bad episode, but not a standout one either.

An almost perfect episode except for what she has done with Prince Duke. I know a lot of you dislike him, but he has been in love with her for quite a long while, and it looks like she feels the same whether she is conscious of it or now.

I'm disappointed that she did not exceed 100 but whatever she gained at 91 is quite high level and there's a diminishing returns on how fast you can level up.

Seriously? Gill is just 11? He has a large upside potential.

I love the lines Alicia employs as villainess even if in some moments, she is lame.

For someone who'd been so proud of logically reasoning about the country-wide big picture, not just cool one-off gestures, donating an eye is sure weird.
Gimping her own abilities to influence the whole world, and to protect herself, forever. All for a tiny personal feel-good moment. A short-sighted goody-two-shoes decision.

@ajw215799 idk...maybe actually watch the anime instead of watching it youtube/tiktok clips style? The king gave Alicia and her father the green light for if she wants to stop being Liz's watcher.

Not to mention that Liz's influence will continue to grow with or without Alicia's presence.
Alicia is assigned the role to WATCH and intervene only when deemed necessary by her, not stop/restrict Liz's influence (which I doubt Alicia will, or can)...so yea...2 years hiatus probably wouldn't change much

@Blanners The thing is this. She hurt him, and she didn't want to hurt him. That's what's significant. It may be that the fantasy setting world is controlling her actions to some extent, just as it might be controlling Liz's.

Well Alicia finally emerges from her cave and the first thing she does is give her eye away, okay lol, a great thing she did but not the first action I thought she would take, well not before flexing her girl power on Nate. This did at least upgrade her villainess look tho , the eyepatch really completes the long cool woman in a black dress thing she walked into the school with lol, and this led to another showdown with Liz, sure didn’t take long for her to show up again, and she’s got a new simp with Jane this time, she’s a cutie but that didn’t stop Alicia from cooking her thoroughly lol.

This talk with Liz revealed something new about her tho, I was surprised by that reaction she had when Alicia said that thing about hating her, this mystery with Liz sure is intriguing, definitely one of the most interesting parts of the show. And then came Duke near the end, yeah I can’t blame the man for his reaction to Alicia having an eye missing after being gone for two years, I’m sure Alicia’s rebuttal really stung, I know Duke doesn’t have a lot of fans in the MAL forums but I like the lad and he didn’t deserve what he got here, hopefully Alicia can fix things between them.

There is a massive logic hole here; how is Alicia supposed to act effectively as Liz’s watcher when her father essentially committed treason by forcing her to train for 2 years (the watcher role was appointed by the king) especially when Liz has had 2 years to infect and corrupt the wider world

lol ikr, they just let her do whatever BS for 2 years

they let her "do whatever B's for 2 years" because her going to school EARLY at the age of 12 was partially contingent on her being Liz's watcher. Her father literally mentioned her going back to school when she turns 15, when he dismisses her from being Liz's watcher... Which the king allowed her to be released from after the literal attempt on her life.
15 is the age that people typically attend school in this world. so yeah. if she weren't extraordinary she would have been doing whatever she wanted to do for 2 years anyways. maybe actually watch the show.

that's such a bad take

the reality is they already found that Liz needed a watcher, then decided "eh why bother for 2 years I'm sure it'll be fine", and when Alicia came back, were happy to let her continue that work, clearly deeming it of value

why are you so dedicated to defending this?
