I can't understand if people are rage baiting or are genuinely too dumb to understand things other than action in this series, I keep seeing people (both on MAL and other sites) asking what is actually happening when it's not really that confusing

I can understand if you can't understand a few parts here and there but calling the whole episode confusing is way too much of a stretch

If a show has only action then it's considered "mid" but when it tries to introduce other emotional concepts it's considered "confusing", I'm seriously dumbfounded by the community here

I genuinely don't believe some of the hate, they specifically mention that the animation is bad despite it being basically objectively good and then some also just have dandadan in their favorites so it could just be trolling

ya I think they did . They can't understand the beautiful way to signify such a sad backstory . I don't think it could have gotten a better adaptation than this. I can't really understand why people are hating this so much .

people have the need to be dumb on something they themselves can't understand and just say *hate* when it should be, *I'm stupid I need to reflect on my actions*

its all of what you just said, there are some ppl who seek attention and there are always ppl who gets mad that a title is "stealing" the praise their fav anime should be getting, according to them. The biggest issue there is, is that ppl dont let ppl enjoy what they like, if they dont like it they want to force other ppl to dislike it, they want to push you into their side, which is quite annoying.

Plus ive seen the hate, and i think its fine since everyone can form their own opinion, everyone has their taste and preference, but its kinda annoying, not just here in ddd, creating the same threads over and over again, is it too much to ask for them to go to the forums and read, and comment on the already existing hate thread.

Every new hit gets hate, that’s normal. Especially with the over saturation of copy and pasted stuff in the market. Dandadan, tbh, doesn’t stand out that match, and fanboys of other Jump series can easily see in it a potential “enemy” to the popularity of their own garbage. I would recommend anyone to touch some grass sometimes, it helps

I havent been watching or following any anime community, youtuber, etc for months, so i dont know if this show got that much hate. Im glad i did it and im having a blast watching some of this season's series, if i continue listening to what someone else say, its only going to leave sour taste on my mouth. So my advice to all of you, just leave all those nonsense and enjoy what you like. Having to watch something that u know nothing about and get surprised of how good it turns out is such a rare experience nowadays.

I’m personally loving DDD a lot more than other WSJ titles I think the concept of this series and the execution is handled in a much better way than JJK or DS it’s on par with CSM for me it’s obvious that Shueisha is desperate to promote their next big thing now that JJK has ended so I’m pretty confident in DDD to take up that mantle not that I want it to get as popular as JJK some gatekeeping is always welcome there’s obviously other good series which hv a lot of potential like Akane banashi and Sakadays.

It's the battle shounens crybabies that are mad that this is far far superior than their 500-1000 episodes ever did.
It's getting praise and overshadowing other one this szn(iykyk) so that have resort calling it mid/trash and ragebait.

They need to get a life.

aaand repeat

@Uruichi I'm lowkey a hater of Demon Slayer (but I loved the first season), I'm always been hella unimpressed with JJK (apart from Shibuya and the past arc is highkey just bullshit fights with little to no development), I liked Jigokuraku (hope they fix the rushed ending in the anime), I find CSM to be pretty good, even though the second part so far is a bit confusionary. I'm not liking Dandadan that much so far, but I'm enjoying it enough to wait every new episode with curiousity. Curious to see where is the story going, and if it will prove to be more cohesive than the last few bad years of Shonen Jump. Shueisha has a great ally nowadays, the animation studious that turn most of their new uninspired series into visual marvels, so they shouldn't worry to much for the new gen series ending, they will find a replacement, just hope they will be better than garbage like Kagurabachi. Oh boy if we had these adaptations back when the big 3 or the 90's hits were running. Yet of course, there are series that "deserves" the hate way more, like Kaiju No.8 or Solo Leveling

I agree I saw someone say it's mid and someone else said that the story and animation is bad. This anime in my opinion is going to be the next big thing. The manga, anime, the story and the animation everything about this anime is amazing.

Attention seeking.

The logic behind it is like going against popular opinion and having outrages takes will make the person more interesting and/or give them a long wanted personality.

They enjoy it a lot^^

That’s fair I never enjoyed DS and after the manga ending I hate that series with a passion the entertainment district arc was the only enjoyable arc of DS for me and aside from that everything else was just shit JJK was good until the culling games arc but again that ending was just too bad to leave a memorable impression on me currently as I’ve mentioned DDD has been great for me even though I know what’s coming since I’ve been following the source material for quite a while now and I agree with you on the CSM part 2 being confusing aspect but I’m still enjoying it enough to give it a weekly read.

It's usually just bait. This show is pretty popular currently, everyone seems to be having a good time with it and you know what happens when people are having harmless fun, someone always has to come in and annoy everyone.
Ignoring is always the best answer, even if sometimes it's the hardest one.

Retards complaining about the latest popular thing is a phenomenon as old as time. They're confused because they didn't even attempt to understand, they went into it looking for something to complain about.

This is a huge mood lmao. My older brother just called DDD a "brainrot" anime because "there's too many things going on". Like??? I'm so sorry I don't feel the same way you do. Like there ARE many things happening, but they all end up cohesive anyway. (No he's not ragebaiting, he's just plain hating on it despite watching it every episode).

I am genuinely confused as to how people are getting confused about the anime. Like sure, it's like one moment, Aira is exorcising Ayase, then suddenly a yokai appears without any context as to why she's looking for Aira. But like what? That's the point? You're supposed to learn about it in the next few moments/episode. Okarun and turbo granny arriving on time is just as perfect because THERE is context as to why they went there given right at you the moment they arrive.

Honestly the story is pretty linear (so far), as opposed to other animes I watched (e.g. Bacanno, Durarara), so you don't need to process what's happening right now compared to what happened before compared to what's going to happen.

My brother also said that the pacing was too fast - he's like expecting an episode focusing on Momo's growth then Okarun's growth separately. But the point of the anime is them growing together??? Even in the first episode, it was established that they went to the ghost/alien site at the same time.

Honestly, my brother (a gen X) is probably the one with the problem who can't process things together even though they're cohesive/has no patience to see the story get cohesive. (I didn't tell that to his face though, haha. He's still my older brother.)
