@rvdboom damn, was the manga really that much better than this adaptation? I've been enjoying it so far but definitely do see the lower animation quality compared to other shows this season.
| @JBCena It's not that the manga is so much better in itself. It's just that the adaptation doesn't bring anything worthwhile compared to the manga so I find the manga more enjoyable because I don't have to cope with the bad direction, animation and forced humour. I feel closer to the characters in the manga without this added fat. But if you haven't read the manga and enjoy the series as it is, it's perfectly fine to watch the show, I think. |
| Episode two, the continuation of forging marriage. He can't even put the ring on in private, so that's probably going to take a while. They're spending so much time with scenery for this date history may as well enjoy them to the fullest. And now we have the sneaky voice trying to tear their plan apart. Funny little moment to bribe the cat with food. And now they have co-workers crashing at their "lovenest".. talk about a wild afternoon. At least they came out of the surprise party in one piece. To think the family has inside information about company rumors, suppose the boss spilled a little beans there. Marriage really is a complicated process, maybe even moreso for this put together couple. Don't really know who would have it out for these two to threaten their thing tho. |

| Marriage in the countryside with their traditions (Aso-style) sound like quite a lot that Rika was not mentally prepared for. Hot spring resort part of it seems quite fun, as does the dancing. |

| Wow, probably one of my favorite songs this season by Honeyworks! Watching Rika and Takuya prepare for the sudden visit from their co-workers, you can see some synergy between the two, although Rika is taking the lead. Drama is beginning to be set up with both the threatening call as well as Takuya's dad's introduction to Rika. |

| definitely wasn't expecting any threats or parents showing up to happen this early on in the show, I'm definitely very curious to see how Takuya and Rika are gonna handle this next episode personally rn I think the one who called Takuya was Komiya, she's suspiciously nice imo |

| Suddenly, Takuya received a call from an unknown number. He picked up the phone, then someone's voice came out saying that he knew that their marriage was fake. Therefore, Rika and Takuya will be sent to Alaska together (voice from the call). In this episode, Kouichi (Takuya's father) came to visit their office. Kouichi came to the office without informing Takuya beforehand. At the office, because Takuya was absent, Rika served Kouichi. Kouichi comes to talk about the marriage of his son, Takuya. I don't know where he heard it from, but somehow he knows about this. Because it was not related to work matters, Rika invited him to talk elsewhere, at a cafe. There, Rika told Takuya to come there too. |

| HoneyWorks getting HaKoniwalily for the OP is just so fitting for the show. Gohobi's ED is just calm, smooth, and decently fine.... The definition of "fake it til' you make it" is easily accepted for Takuya and Rika, and rumours spread fast, much less than Takuya could ever hope to fake even putting on the wedding ring. It's pretty much the same situation for Rika, but Takuya getting a threatening call from someone within the workplace certainly has worries on them, especially Gonda, the one called for the housewarming at Takuya's place. As expected, Rika comes prepared as Takuya bribes his cat with food to leave it for an hour, and the designations go underway before the housewarming event itself. And just as practiced, Takuya and Rika are armed and ready, but Gonda is not one of those people who is good at his romantic work to plead Takuya for help for his own love life (which he is interested in someone within their clique), which he's also putting up his own façade for a fake marriage. For the two people who don't see themselves as marriage partners, this is just their lifestyle until the tide's over. For Takuya's father, the CEO of his home-owned company, to come seeking Rika out of coincidence, she can only fake this as well, but it creates a bad impression enough to risk finding Takuya first before things escalate badly between father and son. His father's ways of marriage are quite the complexity of an event that Rika has never thought that far out,,, To put it slightly, Takuya is in a heap of trouble from the get-go... |
