Holy shit. What a crazy episode. I really regret not watching this episode sooner.

I really thought that the guy Marika's mom was dating was somewhat decent. It's not every day that a guy would go for a divorcee with a kid. But of course, it had to come with a catch. He's a filthy cheater. What a complete 180 from the last episode. Almost feels cheap cause nothing about him previously indicated that he'd be such a person. Anyway, I wish Chika had confronted him in front of his actual family. Would've served the bastard right. Crazy how this guy was thinking of moving in with his girlfriend while he already had a wife and kid... The dude was trying to play the double life. But instead of being Bruce Wayne and Batman he was just a guy cheating on his wife.

Not being able to enjoy the amusement park brought back some not-so-great memories for me. But what Chika and Marika went through was 10 times worse... This episode really hit me right in the feels. It sucks cause Chika was trying to do better too... But that asshole had to ruin it and now she's probably in a worse situation than she was in before. Even her own mom is a leech... And her daughter isn't really her daughter. There's really no one she can call her own... I know she did bad things but it's hard not to feel any sympathy for her.

And then there was that ending. Holy shit. I didn't think the cat would be out of the bag this soon. Tho I really wonder what the heck Keisuke is gonna say to Marika's mother. I thought it was pretty understanding of him not to be hurt by Marika potentially moving away or not spending Christmas with them. But I really wonder if he's NOT gonna say something incriminating... The dude's been a bit hit or miss so far because of his airheaded nature. I really hope this one's going to be a hit.

What a crazy cliffhanger. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Man they really portrayed the cycle of abuse quite well, no matter if a child is raised in a terrible household, that's what they're instilled with, and the cycle repeats itself.

Damn that Urawaka-san guy. He already has a family, huh. She had the right to destroy that guy's family.

The tension is rising! Marika's mother found out about it! LETS GO, BATTLE between parents!
"Parents discipline their children because they want them to grow. But you haven't considered why she's not telling you anything. You're just scolding her. That's not the right way to go about it." -Keisuki Niijima

Also, if Niijima and Shiraishi become married in writing, there would probably be no problem. But it would be weird.

Man The roller coaster of drama and emotions this episode. Crazy af.

Poor chika can never catch a break. Now we know why hiroki is good with kids, he literally has a family and been cheating on both his wife & using chika. Guess we all got fooled and was thinking he was the hope chika needed.

Marika (mom) atleast made a nice meal to calm her down and it worked to a certain extent and with her employer (the old ladies) comforting words it was going well until she found out marikas secret and again the abandonment issues.

Keisuke had massive w's this episode, with the conversation with the marika (mom) about the death circumstances and their current conversation to Defending marika against Chika.
That Dialogue about parenting was just Peak Chefs kiss. Massive respect to keisuke that was well delivered and properly done.
Only thing hes almost about to spill the secret which is the biggest cliffhanger yet i was on the edge of my seat for real xD

Goddamn, I didn't think this episode was going to be so damn dark. They really hit us in the feels, huh?

I knew that guy was too nice for no reason. I just didn't think he was going to be that fucked up.

I'm worried about Takae though. Now is the mom really going to move after finding out that Takae has a second family? I don't really see how Chika is trying to change... yeah, she cleaned the apartment for once. I will say that Chika's mom backstory is pretty sad, but the fact that her mom is asking her for money is crazy

Sooo where's the comedy? I haven't seen anything comedic thus far, only drama lmao

Marika's mom was once again betrayed by someone she thought could be "the one." While she might not be the best parent, she is at least trying her best. The final blow, though, was seeing her own daughter happy with someone else, which made her feel betrayed all over again. Then Keisuke comes to the rescue, standing up for Marika and teaching her mom a lesson about parenting. The story is really picking up after the fourth episode, and I’m excited to see what happens next!

The fate of Marika and the Nijimas lies in the hands of her mother's remarriage with Hiroki, and to Keisuke, their place and Saitama is just a short journey away that isn't privy that they can't see her all the time, but less when the move starts. And since Christmas is around the corner, Mai's secret of her date with Aikawa...isn't happening, so might as well be the same old family cherished altogether. At least Marika's mother is in a healthy state than the suffering she had, and while Mai had a call with Aikawa, the former finding her potential partner already having a family, the amount of anger which has been cured back then thinking that she could start anew, has risen once again to madness. What a blind-sided scum that Hiroki was.

Marika having to explain her mother's situation to both Keisuke and Mai feels convoluted, so it's back to the same secret family meet-and-greet again. And to think that her workplace is a refuge for single mothers, that certainly was a blessing, but to witness her own daughter being close to the Nijimas and Keisuke confronting her to pass her phone back...

Is the secret out for real?

Looks like Marika and her mom will not move after Hiroki's betrayal. Her mother, Chika finds out about Niijima and demands an answer from Marika. Keisuke intervenes.
