On the scale of eternity, which separates us from the end of D.gray-man, there is a gap of +3 months, like not even a drop in the ocean....

Dammit, Apocryphos!! Why you gotta be so sexy in your human form?! I can't hate you when you looking that good!!

Did he seriously stand there for an entire year watching the Innocence? Is he really going to stand there for another seven years?

I want to believe that Allen has the potential to defeat Apocryphos, since his Innocence is definitely special.

@Mei-o_Scarlett If you get reborn into an infant in a story, that's good as being dead as a character.

After not reading DGM for so long, I thought I somehow completely forgot Lavi and Allen's current appearances. 🤦‍♀️ But, no, this is a different Lavi and Allen...
Forever a reader, rarely a watcher. Also listens to music.

⸢I’ve forgotten a few by now. However, one thing’s for certain.⸥
⸢And that is, the you reading these words will get to survive.⸥
⸢This story is for just that one reader.⸥

This chapter left me confused. I don't think the idea of 'the helix of life' or "helix energy" has ever been mentioned in the story before this chapter. Like, how does it tie into innocence and turning into an Akuma? (Well, they discussed a little bit about the innocence part, but I wonder why this wasn't used as an explanation when innocence was first introduced to us... almost 20 years ago now? i know the obvious answer, but still.)

idk.. i feel like a lot of this doesn't add up because we have legit never heard of this concept before. I want to see where Katsura goes with this, maybe I'm skeptical because it feels like we are being fed info rather than it being slowly hinted at us.

I am also intruiged by Nea and Lavi's (white haired) relationship with each other because we got a flashback panel about them a while (years) ago, and I wonder if we will ever see their relationship with each other and how they became friends, and why Lavi is so willing to sacrifice his life for Nea's, and now for the host, Allen.

I don't want to sound like a hater! I just have high standards bc this is my fav series.

Hoshino has said that we're only a little over halfway into the story, so the manga has a long way to go still. To catch up and make sense of everything going on in the manga right now, you would also have to re-read the events of Hollow as the anime did a poor job of adapting them and skipped over important details. If you're hoping for more of this to get animated, I would honestly give up on that. The most recent season performed terribly when it aired as it was horribly rushed with poor production value, so I doubt it will ever get a remake or continuation.

@BlueMoonTornado Thank you for the response, its such a shame, the old adaptation was great at least on my memory, the new one i dont think its bad but if im being honest i do in fact didnt know whats going on lol, i thought it was bc i havent seen it in a while, turns out it was just bc of bad directing. I would probably lose my interest before i can read the ending so maybe its time for me to forget about this.

Fair enough. If you can be patient, though, the story easily makes it worth the long wait. The anime drops off right before some of the best parts of the series. I have a saying I made for myself after watching multiple manga go unfinished over the years, and that is to enjoy the journey without worrying about the conclusion. I've never once regretted picking up those unfinished series. Absolutely understand if this doesn't work for you.
