| In the end, the negotiation with Shakuma went well, and thank goodness Licia handled it, foreseeing that Lenge is both arrogant and idiot. It's unfortunate that such a great leader like Couran has someone like Lenge as a successor, which is worrying since he would become the next emperor if Missian manages to gain independence. According to Ars, Lenge has potential, but after what he pulled, I doubt he will achieve anything significant unless he learns some serious lessons along the way. |

Licia planned this from the beginnning, and they did not pay a gold piece too much. (How would she have been able to buy the dress otherwise)
- She intentionally disclosed the 2000 number to both Rengue and Ars, which was not the real number they had.
- She negotiated with Shakuma as a sly fox, setting the price at 1000.
- Shakuma is aware she's a sly fox.
- Then Rengue went off as planned, disclosing the 2000 number, confirming Licia as the sly fox, causing Ars to beg to accept the 2000 number.
- Shakuma then tought he had the upper hand, and tried to get the maximum out of it.
- Licia used that weakness of Shakuma to play as if he was taking everything from them, down to their clothes, causing Shakuma to accept the deal.
- Shakuma now has gained some stuff for his own benefit, and has defeated and humiliated the sly fox from his point of view.
- What really happened is that Licia guaranteed that the support was there, with Shakuma no longer being a potential obstacle.
Ask yourself, if they only had 2000, how did they pay for the 500 in clothes and jewelry.

Regarding Licia "deceiving" Ars, I somewhat disagree since I figured that was her own money (or money from her family) that she has had. However, now that they're married I assume they will combine their assets but it probably hasn't been done yet. |

| What an absolute fucking idiot... Lenge's utter stupidity doesn't serve to make Licia look smarter. It makes the entire cast look dumber. He never should've even been allowed to accompany them on such a critical mission, well alone participate in negotiations. Claiming that it was all part of her plan from start to finish implies Licia is a total fool as well, paying 2.5x more for absolutely no reason other than allowing that fool to tag along. At the very least someone needed to backhand that stupid MF. If not cement his legs and toss him into the middle of the ocean. And Ars needs to stop acting absolutely shook over every little thing. Bitch you're a grown ass middle aged man, child's body or not. |
| The war impeding with a marriage in-between, that's quite bold for Licia taking steps ahead to secure what she needs for Ars to make do with his plans ahead, she's quite the wife. With Varmasque yet another faction going against Couran with Seitz, it's all the more with the negotations with Paradille that Licia is hoping Ars could count on her for success. And for Couran's son Rengue to join them once they reach back to Semplar, the 20-year-old son may not be able when it comes to his abilities, but his father leaving him to Ars would help tap his potential better. Only one problem: his "adult" thinking that would determine the trajectory of the mission. For a group to come up short trying to raid Ars's ship, being the understanding kid that he is, he gives them a loan after trying hard to make amends. But this doesn't become apparent until the arrival towards the Imperial Capital, where the wealth inequality is very stark in contrast. Meeting the Emperor's intermediary Prime Minister Shakma Dolyze to proceed with negotiations, he wastes no time getting business down, and as Licia surmises to get to his good graces, she does the trick so easily. Too bad that Rengue has to run his mouth in the wrong way, causing negotiations to break down. And as a last-ditch resort, Licia selling her jewelry and clothing to show her resolve, it's exactly how she's planned it. The backup of all backups, Licia has everyone's asses covered, atta girl. |
