it is a bit depressing but that's what makes u feel happy for him , kinda emotional anime.

It's a bit like School Babysitters in that it can be cute but also extremely sad. What helps both anime for me is that the protagonists find people who do genuinely care about them

well the story literally is about a kid living alone, feeling lonely and coming terms to the difficulties and struggles of daily life...so I'm not sure how its gonna be some laid back slice of life anime...and it suits the story line...

Well it’s a show about abuse and the bonds a child has made through it. It’s not going to be a happy go lucky anime. Tbh this anime decimated me, opened my eyes to how badly some children suffer secret abuse

The anime has many heartfelt moments even with the harsh circumstances. I find it unique and fulfilling in a way to feel a connection which makes it special. There is a real life adaptation of the anime too. I would prefer if they had a second season because it feels like child’s story remains.

While watching this kid from the beginning buying such a large amount of tissues made me laugh like What does he need those for?
But the reveal that he's been eating those devastated me and made me go for a soul searching & find solace and gratitude for my life.

It's a sad but good anime. Plot is not entirely focused on sad bits but more of an underlying tone with a lot of fun instances. All the characters show great chemistry. well written.
