Oh! My Japanese is decent so far and Oxford was of great help while I was re-reading Silent Möbius before I got into its sequel from 2013 (nobody told me that it got a sequel).

There are other great books for learning Japanese, but Oxford and Instant Japanese are my personal favorites. Turning to that certain Oxford page about particles is the first thing that I would do after reading Instant Japanese.

TBQH, I totally agree that Min Chinese (like Southern Min) has easier particles with more consistent grammatical function than its Japanese counterpart. At least going through kanji will eventually get me into learning Southern Min or that Min family of eastern languages.

Japanese has around 10 particles that no one will ever use. Not even that semitomboy about your age (haven't seen her in ages since she married a Chinese man) despite being fluent in said language will ever use them (I bet she watched the recent Gundam SEED movie without subtitles).

Yes, that studio and the one that made Speed Grapher which a lady exactly your age told she loved. Solty Rei, Last Exile, Hellsing and Gate Keepers are my personal favorites from that studio.

Kurogane no Linebarrel was okay and I would have cherished its source material more if the last two volumes hadn't been rushed.

I hope indie comics won't have a rushed finale like that. Speaking of indie comics, I still plan to read Saga and Transmetropolitan.
