In terms of VISUAL direction I think that are a lot of shows that can be compared or are better than this season of the Monogatari series. Shows like "Devilman Crybaby" , "Chainsaw Man" , "Bocchi the Rock" , "Demon Slayer" , "Mob Psycho" , "Zom 100" , "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" , "Cyberpunks Edgerunners" , "Kill la Kill" , etc. have really great use of color to make them standout. However if we talk about direction in general only a few shows from above really can compare ("Devilman Crybaby" , "Bocchi the Rock" , "Kill la Kill" , "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" for example). In addition, since this season is still far from being the direction masterpiece that are "Bakemonogatari" and "Monogatari Series: Season 2" then as a series overall very very few compare... (This is all imo btw) |
