Since the mangaka didn't say she took the hiatus for health reasons (which would include a possible pregnancy as well) I thought the most likely reason she took the hiatus was to supervise the anime in order to look at least decent since Studio DEEN is infamous for quite low quality looking animation ( Seven Deadly Sins later season, fate stay night (2006) etc.) |

When I saw the title of this thread it made me remember immediately the Fruits Basket problem. WienGirl said: Even so, the mangaka should not be too upset with the anime adaptation. It's pretty loyal to the manga, and they've done a great job with the art style, the scripts and the voice actors, IMO. But from the anime discussions I have heard this too, so the Mangaka probably wouldn't be that upset, comparing to what they did to Fruits Basket for example, where they really took out a lot from the original story and were just not loyal in regards to some characters and scenes. But I don't know what to think with this information, since some of you are also saying it might not be true. |

| @Kurtadam13 The author has gone on much smaller breaks before. It could just be a placeholder date, but as of right now volume 9 is set to come out in japan in February. There are still some chapters needed to be released to put out a full volume, so there’s a chance the manga will re-start around the end of the anime if there’s pressure to meet the February deadline. |

Mangaka also mentioned in her own twitter that her hiatus is not due to bad health or anything but due to various circumstances and don't know when will it be resume. Which matches the whole situation. Most netizens speculate is because mangaka doesn't want to "totally break" the relationship with the publisher so she's keeping quiet and cold attitude towards this whole situation.

| After watching the first 3 episodes, the rumour doesn't seem too far fatched. It isn't an easy manga to adapt, it needs fine tuning so that it doesn't end up being a joke. For the time being, it just looks bland af. |
