Kanata shouldn't blame herself on anything. Glad to see Megumi being understanding as they had a heart to heart talk.

Episode felt kinda moody and depressing compared to the previous ones imo. Then again, it seems this episode explored the personal feelings of some cast members. Man, that dance and singing in the rain was tough and sad to watch.

Dramatic and emotional episode again. Please don't argue, sweethearts. :(

Well, I'm sure things will get better little by little now. Kanata and Megumi finally made up.

That rain scene was very touching. Megumi needs a hug. <3 It's great to see her standing again.

So happy to see the girls managed to patch things up with each other. The rain scene was amazing especially seeing Megumi stand up.

Ahhhhhh masterclass episode but that needed to be a Megu and Kanata confession there 😭 stop baiting me PA, we know they’re lesbians

Been depressed all week cause of how things ended with the girls on the verge of breaking up last episode and it got even worse at the start of this episode. Everyone going their own way and doing their own thing, then Megu lashing out at Kanata.. but in a way this was all for the best. The closer you are, the more you fight with people and this makes you grow even closer.

I understand Megu being insecure about her condition and frankly a little jealous of her best friend. I mean if you’re confined to a bed and miss out on all these big milestones, school etc and see someone else close to you achieving all of it, it would sting. Being honest with Nodoka and Shion was a big step..

Every sports anime has that emotional rain scene lol. This was one of my favourites though. Megu begging Kanata to tell her the truth was such a good job by the seiyuu and then trying to stand and cheer oh my goodness. I think that conveyed everything that needed to be said without saying it. Teared up a bit. That should’ve been a confession and kiss though 😭

Can’t wait for next episode

If anything, Kanata working by herself destroys the very foundation of the group to begin with, a lesson that she yet still didn't learn the hard way since the beginning after Megumi's disastrous fall.

Clearly, Anna's the one being affected much by the discourse, and Nodoka is at a loss whether to continue doing cheer, only to get a small boost of confidence with Rara, and even more with Tanizaki being both Kanata and Megumi's close confidante since middle school.

The biggest detractor being Megumi herself who has become frenemies with Kanata being jealous of where the latter is that she isn't now, it's very hard to ever let go of the jealousy that has been brewing deep in her heart. To make matters worse, Obunai's practice only makes Kanata almost lost her life doing the full-air somersault that she managed to do in Episode 1, and between the two close friends, Kanata has been putting up a front that she can't always hide forever, and Megumi forcing herself to cheer in the rain on her own two feet, while impressive and miraculous, the drama defintely was overblown, and the recommitment starts as long as the others are willing to work together to get back on track.

I'm just glad that Kanata was able to repair the relationship between the girls, that was hard to watch, especially for Megumi's segment.

Idk why but this episode was both depressing and funny for me. Especially when Megu managed to dance a bit.

The drama continues to be the driving force in this episode, as it is sad to see everyone looking all glum and sad, especially for Kanata and Megumi. I'm glad that Nodoka and Shion had time to talk to each other and reflect on the good things before using that to and talk with Megumi. Being fully honest can be painful at times, but sometimes that's all you need to do to sort things out.

That opportunity came along when Kanata ended up in hospital after injuring herself. It gave the perfect place for her and Megumi to voice out their frustrations before Megumi broke out into a song performance. What surprised me was that she was able to stand in her own two feet and even do a jump in the air to finish up her performance. It was a great moment, that's for sure.

With that, I'm glad that everyone is on good terms with each other once more. Now I expect PomPoms to bounce back in full force and make their critics eat humble pie!

Good Lord, Kanata, what the hell, I'm glad she's okay and managed to sort things out with Megumi and the girls. A depressing episode but my favorite one so far, filled with emotions and ended with a satisfying reconciliation, can't wait to see PoMPoMs goes. Nice dance, by the way.

At last Megumi had her ''Clara is standing up!'' moment in this episode.

Dammit, why did they have to chuck in that fricking singing in such a heartfelt moment lol... After the initial shock of what I was watching, the desperate cheering from Megu was quite touching.

With how boyish Obunai's voice here, I can't believe she plays Saki in Gimai.

Kanata is at fault here. She was naive last episode, and today she tried something dangerous. Good thing she didn't get hurt that much and she was able to earn forgiveness from PomPoms.

The real highlight today is Megumi. She tried standing up and she was able to.

Well that was a really sweet resolution to the drama from last episode. Seeing as it resolved so quick, it really does highlight how sudden and kinda pointless it was, but at least we're through it!

Also really cool jump Megumi! Her progress is crazy to see

A touching and significant episode. Even though the initial problem seemed trivial, Kanata and Megumi were the ones suffering in silence. Understanding Megumi can be a bit challenging. At first, she watched her friends and Kanata with the hope of being with them, but the situation she was in made her feel like just a spectator. Megumi accumulated frustration, sadness, and helplessness until she finally exploded, which is understandable. Although it's not fair for her friends to bear the brunt of her emotional outburst, they've shared a special athletic journey, especially with Kanata. Megumi always saw Kanata as the center of everything, shining brightly. Although she loves and respects her, she felt frustration because while Kanata moved forward for both of them, Megumi felt left behind. Kanata intended to advance for everyone, but Megumi was always her priority. Megumi knew this and didn't want to be a burden for Kanata. That's why the choreography scene with Megumi was so emotional it showed Kanata that she wanted to keep flying alongside her, even if she could barely lift herself.

On the other hand, I'm still a bit upset about Anna's attitude regarding the problem they faced. It seemed she was more selfish than Kanata in her approach. Anna ended up making the problem even bigger. There's still the question of who made that comment, and it's possible it was the girl who quit the club at the end of the episode.

That was an emotional episode.

But does anyone else buy that the cat caused Kanata's injury?

9 episodes in and no competition at all... how is this a sports anime? This is so... leadening.

I really liked the creative direction of this episode, it felt much more dramatic and intense than the previous episode, which makes justice to what the previous episode built upon. I feel like the episode was a good conclusion so the fight between the group, and we actually got to see character development with Megumi and Kanata. I wonder how the next 3 episodes are going to be after these 2 more serious ones. This anime is really surprising me, and if it keeps up like this, it's actually going to be a good watch overall!
Also, can I just say that I found funny how Suzuha said to Kanata to not do anything stupid, and then Kanata went, and did something stupid right after xD

the flame of this great friendship was rekindled, Megumi tried really hard and Kanata did too. I liked it.
