| It's a love story between Giichi and Jin now. Jin Kikuchihara, a confident and flamboyant third-year student, is the president of the film club. He’s popular for taking on the roles of director, writer, and lead actor in his projects. However, there’s one underclassman who catches his attention—Giichi Ichikawa, a second-year student who’s known as a film fanatic by everyone, including himself. Giichi constantly challenges Jin, seeing him as a rival. One day, during a heated confrontation, the two accidentally share a kiss. Since then, Jin can’t help but become more conscious of Giichi. To make things even more complicated, Giichi ends up as Jin’s temporary roommate in the dormitory. Giichi and Jin would make a good spinoff icl. |

| What's up with Studio Deen having such good animation this season? First with Gimai Seikatsu, now this. I've gotta admit that 3rd Year's Jin Kikuchihara's Star Wars-ish intro was godlike to serve as an introduction to the Film Club, as a PR short. But 2nd Year's Giichi Ichikawa is ascertain that this will not work, though their relationship at first glance is not the best, even having a coincidental kiss with the loss of cool betwen both guys. And since this was happening whilst Ichikawa's BL film is in the works, the 3rd years are at the risk of losing their position, continuing to do their own film with the sexiest guy in the all-boys' school. But one of his friends of Rei Inaba, being childhood friends at best, the latter knows the former's temperament, and to make matters worse, Ichikawa is his new dorm roommate due to family circumstances, at least for the season. The roommate situation being similar to that of Mao and Hisashi, Jin begins drawing and blurring the lines between him and Ichikawa, though the thoughts of reconciliation...will have to wait in public with the members of the Film Club in full view, and the 3rd Years producing their own film. A good talk with a fellow friend reveals that Jin really never hated Ichikawa, it's just that he doesn't know how to communicate with him. It's also clear that Ichikawa is a BL fanatic teaching Jin the ways of BL, therefore also breaking down the walls between the two of how far they can take BL to the extreme. Ichikawa's clearly the Top, whereas Jin is the Bottom, with a dream of likeness. @IzanaSolos Jin and Giichi are quite literally the Overlap situation, reference to Part 2's title of the manga. |

| A cute episode, didn't expect their dynamic to be like this. Offering Omegaverse as a first BL, lol, that's just not what you do. The guy jumped straight to the hardcore stuff without easing into it through some classic stuff. Jin must have been so confused. But oh well, he seemed to have enjoyed it, shocker. |

| The MC did not appear at all in this episode, but it is fine. This episode pointed the relationship Ichikawa and Kikuchihara share. There is a controversial feeling coming from both. Kikuchihara doesn’t know if Ichikawa really hates him or not, but now I think they started to like each other and if they work well together at the film club, they would make amazing movies staring Kikuchihara as the protagonist. The OP and ED theme are ok, but the animation could be better. Gyozaman is such a cute mascot😍  |
| Is this... is this what true happiness feels like? Because I'd spent an entire week leading up to today just existing, and looking forward to this episode and it delivered... it absolutely delivered! I found myself cackling and shouting throughout the majority of the episode, these boys are so over-the-top in their rivalry! The flavor, the spice... immaculate 👌 I already knew that I would love Jin, but I did not expect him to be this kind & considerate right out of the gate. It doesn't feel manufactured or forced either, story-wise, and I am utterly delighted ❤️ I was trying to explain this to my friend, but often storytellers write themselves into a corner by relying too heavily on tropes & archetypes. Take Jin as an example: cocky, boastful, somewhat conceited on the face of it, his friends describe him a narcissist, and yet they list his many less desirable qualities to the man's face without fear of retribution or causing bad blood. Jin talks them up as well, stressing how filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and a vehicle for making dreams come true, impossible to achieve without the unique talents of everyone involved. He has a no-nonsense childhood best friend and his crew who are pretty straight with him. He is fully aware of his own flaws and how he needs to put up a facade to maintain his reputation; how he puts on an act in front of others the majority of the time in order to be perceived a certain way. None of this prevents him from extending an olive branch to Ichikawa who, let's face it, is the one being antagonistic from the get-go. Jin is just there, being the leading man jack of all trades, doing his thing with his crew, and Ichikawa takes it upon himself to rain on his parade, completely unprovoked. Somehow him being raised by his grandfather surprised me not at all 😆 I guess what I'm trying to say is, it would be so easy to make someone like Jin a one-note character, your run-of-the-mill tsundere or an outright asshole that we're gonna be hard at work redeeming or just overlooking his flaws altogether because he's ✨so sexy✨ and that's what matters, right? I love that this mangaka/creator doesn't do that. Ogres are like onions, after all, as are people. They have many layers and facets to them which may sometimes seem contradictory to exist in one person, and yet they do. That's realistic. That's complex storytelling. And I've glimpsed all that after knowing the character for a grand total of 20 minutes. I'm tipping my hat to whoever is responsible for the final shape of the episodes, be it the screenwriters, editors, or the director. To whoever says that any of these aspects of the anime have been bad thus far... do catch me outside XD 10/10 splendid episode, will be watching again. And again. And again... 👍 I'm also delighted that we are getting glimpses of Rei's personality already, just like we did with Ichikawa throughout the course of HisaMao's story. Really looking forward to properly meeting everybody... |

| This was expected but also the right move for direction of show. The previous BL was becoming stale and already felt like hit completion for our entertainment. It looks like pretty-boy 3rd year might have been fat & ugly in past, and his love was also more dorky looking, unless I misread picture. This is absolutely adorable and somewhat relatable. I really wanted to see the movie they made, but this is fine. 5/5, no sex, but very "intense". I love romance and am asexual so love this! To this day I still don't really understand bottom/top talk, as I'm both neither as well as Asexual. I think if had term for me would be versatile bottom as can definitely "top" in a relationship... regardless any is not of interest to ya girl here. Go figure the little sister sends him it hahaha (more common for females to like BL, though all can enjoy as <3 ) |

Ore wa suki da, ero~ Yes, secondary pairs can be much more interesting compared to the main one. JinIchi are less cliche and have more personality than HisaMao, just add some rivalry, bickering, accidental kissing and I'm sold lol.
