Didnt expect last episode to be this good. It was really fun to watch.

The moment with chocolate was great, i really like this japanese tradition to gift someone chocolate on valentine's day.
Lolis are very cute and a lawyer with her friend very cute too. Sad that Sousuke didnt accept her chocolate, but maybe she'll be lucky next year. Or she can start a chocolate business now lol.

THE BEST GIRL OF THE ENTIRE ANIME OUR GREAT SAVIOR LIVIA-SAMA is here again and i really like the moments with her.

Is it a TMNT reference when she jumped on the roofs of skyscrapers or its just me?

And then the song! I wish i could attend their performance (i would just stand and pray to Livia-sama 🛐)

Btw in this episode was Sara's performance too and i think its cool, i like music and i like when there is songs and stage performances in anime.

I really love the moment with drunk Noa. Like: they're drinking champagne together in a luxury penthouse, she's getting drunk and the strap of her dress is already slipping a little, she moves closer and it's about to happen... d*mn the police, why couldn't they choose a different moment (╥‸╥)(╥‸╥)(╥‸╥)
But not every anime has such yuri desire, i didnt expect to find it in this anime. Noa and Livia are one of my favorite yuri couples now.

I feel really bad for Noa, i hope the chocolate lawyer will help her and she will be acquitted.

And now about the anime itself and why my score is so low (6/10)

The anime is not bad, but its still too simple and sometimes stupid.

I like the unusual vision, mature (and often familiar to me) themes, visuals (the girls are very cute and kawaii) and interesting characters but most of the jokes are too simple and the anime often becomes too childish.

I was also not very interested in the main couple of characters (Sousuke and Sara), but rather liked the secondary ones (Livia, Noa, Neya and a few more).

This anime is good for taking a break and watching something light and fun, but it has no depth and it does not touch the soul.

But of course i dont regret watching it and i would watch the second season if it will be the same visuals and style.

She is the new character?

Wanted to mention too that the highlight of this last episode was as least there was a little hint and move forward toward the potential advancement of the Sousuke and Sara relationship in the romantic direction in the future, which was/is the emotional core and bedrock of this show for me. Hopefully they manage to continue to have a complex and beautiful relationship and eventually become a "thing" in that sense too, even if it's only left in written form in the light novels and/or manga, and that content doesn't make it into anime form (if there is never a second season or there is, but it still doesn't cover that). Just knowing the romantic candle burns fiercely underneath it all and that's a possibility to be revisited and followed up on is enough!

As far as other events, not that it made the episode in itself bad, but the only thing I was disappointed on in terms of a plot development (kind of close to the exact opposite of my feelings toward the subtle advancement of the Sousuke-Sara ship) was Noa being apprehended. Hopefully she can be liberated from confinement soon, even if it entails the lawyer and/or private investigator (Sousuke) pulling every trick in the book including anything underhanded. Pains me to see someone like Noa in captivity and not free. A beautiful dynamic creature whose wings must spread. On the outside (outside of prison) the possibilities are limitless for someone like her. She probably just got sloppy in covering her tracks.

@WatchTillTandava I just screamed with joy when Sara said who she loves!!!

This was a really enjoyable show, especially parts with Sara-sama and detective work. The bits with Livia weren't doing much for me tbh, if not even dragging the whole show down, but fine as comic-relief I guess. Hope we'll see second season sometime in the future!

I think this show is just pure timing for me, I’m currently residing in Nagoya city for a summer internship and had the wonderful opportunity to visit Gifu city last month, albeit short as my main destination was Takayama. Animate Gifu is all about the show right now, and for good reason! Final few seconds of the show giving some love to the city was a wonderful touch, and yeah, got to sign off with old man Nobunaga, am I right?

Jokes aside, the show’s been such a hilarious and entertaining curveball that I don’t even know where to start from. For starters, it was nice to see the homeless man with Livia-san returning and publishing a hit, lol. And then there’s Livia-san’s employer who’s in jail now. In all honesty, what took the Japanese police so long? That’s what popped to my head first.

We didn’t get to see much from the “rich” female detective nor the junior in the relationship sense of things which is a pity but some great moments nonetheless, so I’ll take it.

The theme songs were absolute bangers. Especially the Op, Wanuka-san’s peach of a new track! Visuals were up there too, of course.

I’m definitely going to be missing the pure absurdity of this show. 7/10.

I enjoy everything Livia, who's now the best girl in all of anime. Perfect body, perfect breasts, perfect personality.

But man did they run out of money for this episode lol. So many slideshow scenes, screen shaking on a still image, repeated animation, etc. Not that this show really needs stellar animation or anything, but this episode was particularly bad.

Why did they have to make it official with Sara liking Sosuke... Like I know they didn't actually get together like in some manga, but like... a 12 year old liking her 29 year old foster father is all sorts of messed up.
@stevejawbs she likes her as a parent figure that other girl asked about her type she replied with the qualities of the person who helped her and loved her so much unconditionally so what's wrong there.

What a way to end the season, Livias band grew to big too fast and then freaking Noa getting arrested and Sara literally becoming a God and idol on her graduation left me stunned.

It was a fun show, Souske-Sara's relationship was so sweet I hope they keep this father daughter dynamic because if they not it will ruin the premise the built so well their current status is so wholesome.
Livia was awesome throughout and other side characters like Yuna,Haruka,Brenda,Picharitsu, Noa all were great the stories were fun too. And a Goated OP and nice ED too. Also this anime was a good propaganda for Gifu Tourism. Hope it gets a S2 they also teased a bit.

@WaterMage_658 No, the scene was clearly hinting at her liking Sosuke in a romantic way, not just as a parental figure, and also liking Sosuke specifically, not someone else with the same personality.

@WatchTillTandava The ship is weird ngl, she's 12 and he's 29. Not to mention he's her adoptive father.

There was also absolutely zero indication that their relationship was anything other than father-daughter, so this random scene about her type came out of nowhere.

So what happened to Livia's jackpot winnings from the Pachinko Parlor? I'm guessing the blond guy took it since it was just left behind.

Lol, "Gift" Records being pronounced as "Gifu-to"...this series has Gifu built into it's DNA. Three-month time skip flashed by in an instant. The band disbanded before it could even really begin. Maybe they should have stayed indie. Most musicians get screwed over by their label anyway.

I'm surprised that Noa was booked for insider trading, and not the massive pyramid scheme cult operation she was running.

Who was that girl in the wheelchair at the end? I don't remember if they showed her before or not.

Overall, this was a fun ride. The series stayed true to it's name. I'm going to miss it. I doubt there will be another season, but it doesn't hurt to hope.

@WaterMage_658 You missed the part where after she described her type (which you could say just resembled Sosuke), the girl asks "that's very specific; are you talking about an actual person?" and she responds with a "well, who knows" and a knowing smile. This was a very obvious hint that she meant Sosuke specifically, not just someone who has his personality.

Also completely unrelated but I responded to your other comment; yeah Rimuru was so hot in the latest episode, and now I have the weirdest boner

Lol Sara kind of built up her own cult practically.

Nao was so close to kissing Livia, i wonder if Livia would be down for it or just curious or put off awkwardly. Hard to tell just from blushing since you can blush from feeling awkward too. Instead she goes to jail.

I found the show dull at first but I like the quirkiness of it and seems my problem was just how 12 episodes felt like less from how disjointed the character's parts are where half eps are for Sara and half for Livia. I would like if it had more since it did grow on me.

@stevejawbs yeah she could mean a person like Souske. Using him as a template for his ideal man. I don't think she sees Souske romantically (atleast I hope so) after building such a loving father-daughter relationship, she's way to mature for that.

I don't actually care about moral standards in anime that much (although doesn't prefer these things) but Sara is elementary schooler not even High school which can be grey area. And I don't want to ruin this show for me, I started watching it midway after seeing a clip of Souske adopting Sara officially. I don't want this wholesome relationship to get ruined so let me stay in denial even if it which again I doubt.

Also yeah Rimuru is giving Shuna competition for best girl(boy) rn

Sara's graduation was the highlight for me. I was literally in tears of laughter at the parents and students giving her so much adulation. "I was able to stop my parents from divorcing." "My NEET older brother actually got a job." Sara is a true oujōdere and a pleasure to watch. Has been a wonderful series.

Aww Yuna ended up making friends! She was worried for nothing. I guess helping out the girl who was getting bullied ended up creating new friendships!

Lmaoooo Sara was able to make chocolate from cacao beans that tasted good, unlike Brenda in the previous episode. Why didn't Brenda say she made the chocolates for Valentine's Day as a gift to him rather than pretending that they were leftovers?

Not Livia having a show but still wearing her tracksuit under a leather jacket. She has access to all the money but continues to wear her homeless clothes. Irl pachinko machine, and Livia finally got lucky and decided to leave anyways. Too bad she didn't finish the game because her enabler went to jail lol she fell from the building and somehow didn't crush her guitar. Nah, Noa's character card said: religious leader, multimedia creator, fangirl, and manipulator 😭💀 sucks that they finally went big for Noa to get caught for insider trading of all things. Too bad US politicians don't get in trouble for insider trading :( But I didn't know she was forced to become a religious leader at a young age. That's super sad. But sad that the police had to interrupt Noa getting close to Livia iykwim.

Shit, I guess Sara has her own cult following. She helped prevent a divorce and liberate someone from the chains of NEET.

It looks like the dad finally took his kid out to watch a horse race!

Also pls stop saying that there are romantic feelings between Sara and Sosuke please

Overall, this was probably my AOT for Spring 2024. I'm going to miss all the craziness, every single episode made me laugh. I wasn't expecting this anime to be as good as it was. I originally only watched it because my name is also Sara but I'm glad I did. I really hope we get another season because I honestly liked all the characters and the dynamics with each other. They were all unique and drastically different from each other. This was a landslide better than Sasaki and Pii or whatever it was called. This was on a whole different level. 9/10 for me

Amazing final episode!
I adored this anime, the main characters are so extremely likable it's insane.

I loved how during the ceremony Sousuke was as lost as we viewers lmao
And Noa was arrested, she deserves it lol

I also liked how the final credits played over still images of the Nobunaga statue, that was so fkng hilarious to me for some reason lmaooo

Is weird for shows like this to get a 2nd season, but I really hope this one does, it was peak, really the weakest points were all of the Noa scenes (I hate that bitch so much), and maybe the fact that Livia is WAY TOO DUMB sometimes, but still, this was a hard 9/10, Sousuke is great, Sara is peak, and I liked Yuna a loooot I wanted to see more of her.

PROTECT SARA, FOREVER IN MY HEART ❤️

btw I'm pretty sure they never actually talked about salads in the entire show? lmao

This was such an enjoyable watch with a great mix of comedy, wholesomeness, drama, and even a bit of romance thrown in. In particular Sara was such a likable and cute character that its no wonder she touched the hearts of her entire school in only a few months. Even her friend that ended up transferring schools to be with Sara before Sara decided to go one grade lower got more popular at her school too.

Meanwhile it seemed like Livia was on a path towards a great career with potential with her bandmates before Noa was caught doing insider trading lol (wtf was that all about??). Speaking of Noa, she is such a naughty girl with the way she was obsessed over Livia, including touching her all over to make her doll as realistic as possible and then putting the moves on her before she got arrested, damn girl lol. Anyways, I hope a 2nd season comes out as I would definitely watch it. 8/10

This is the show that I needed the most, same type like Hinamatsuri and Minami-Ke. A random comedic SoL, turn off your brain and enjoy.

But to be fair, even this has clearer plot than some "Linear" SoL and that's quite ironic.

Though, I feel like they definitely gonna bring up some serious stuff and put this franchise to end and I hope they execute it perfectly, I don't want it to be suddenly serious or edgy.

Hope it still got S2 though.

Sousuke, worst type of trash. An adult who knows how this world works. See how innocent and dumb Livia can be but expels her from his house instead of finding something for her to do for work (she is strong so could work in lots of places). Keeping her out of trouble could be a nice comedy point and become romance as well. But he leaves her vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. Later he knows that she is suffering abuse and exploitation from the cult leader, but leaves her like that.

Sara, not an adult but didn't care for what happened to Livia.

Noa, lesbian, rapist and cult leader.

Brenda, trash. Creating fake proof of cheating when she doesn't find one. Will now leave Noa out of prison.

Haruka, also trash. cause the fake proof when she finds none.

Takeo, abusing how dumb Livia is.

The contrast: Akira. Imeddiately tried to help Livia when he became aware of what was happening.

Bascally from the main cast there only Livia and Akira are good people. The rest are a bunch of scumbags shown as good people. No idea why anyone would like any of them.
The anime had its funny moments but these details made it a bit repulsive
@Penteano The only lucid take on this comment chain save for Noa? Dunno where you get the r*pist from, since no acts worthy of the label were committed on the show. As for her being a cult leader she was put into that position from young age so she was fulfilling that role. Finally her sexuality shouldn't be an issue. I'd extend her to somewhat likable cast.

All in all a disconnected show both in terms of storytelling (out the window went any resemblance of a plot) and as a device for portraying interpersonal connections. The characters were mostly empty shells lacking will and intent and as such quite horrible in many ways. At best 5/10 but the more I think about it, the worse it gets so best to forget about it and move on.

@Condition_Chaos if it was man using Livia dumbness/innocence to see her naked and touch her freely how would you call it? That's rape in my book. Just because it's made by another woman the name doesn't change.

@Penteano That accusation for her behavior wouldn't hold in court, at least where I live. Sexual harassment would be more appropriate, for which she could be rightly sued for.

Insider trading. It's basically a white-collar financial crime, comparable in a way to a kind of embezzlement and usually lumped in with theft, corruption, fraud, etc. She received confidential/exclusive information she should not have been legally privy to as a member of the public when playing the stock market and thus profited from the purchasing of stock based on restricted information from the company. The general public isn't supposed to have access to certain information and company insiders like CEOs and even lower level staff aren't allowed to purchase and trade in stock from their own companies if it's based on certain publicly unavailable information.

I actually don’t think what Sara said is some kind of hint of their relationship. He is a figure of a perfect man for her obviously having crush on a older relative when you 13 is not that anormal tho I think its very unnecessary to add this and stupid. When you show their relationship from both sides very father X daughter type. Just dont make it usagi drop kind of bullshit. Im must gonna act like that scene was a fever dream. Found family trope is a great trope

Other than that pretty okay comedy. Like I said before was not a biggest fan of Livia's parts.

I love Puriketsu, her expression, her voice, her hair and style. I want an action figure.

Man, the Sixth Graders and Sara-sama graduation section had me laughing a lot, was not expecting all that at all and Sousuke's reactions were just perfect with it

Good anime. Different from the usual meh/standard slice of life anime we have out there.

I have never seen so many 'best girls' in a single show before xD

Livia´s scenes were the ones I enjoyed most ;D specially her interactions with Noa, definitely the icing on the cake.

I would rate this 7.5/10 if it were possible.

Hahaha

This is probably one of the most absurd comments I have ever read about an anime like this one xD

Totally missing the point and taking it to another whole level. You won´t last much in this anime world like that xD

Even thought the finale is quite weak, but as a whole they're quite enjoyable. Livia carrying this show for me.

7-8/10

I enjoyed this show quite a bit, but it had way too many characters, among which most were uninteresting, and due to this, Sara, the one that's extremely fun to watch, just somehow disappeared into the background in the second half. The rest of the cast were fine, but comparatively, none were particularly entertaining or funny to watch. I rather dislike Livia because essentially her character is just being retarded, but in the end, when she had friends to interact with, she became much better. Nonetheless, not enough Sara. Scenes with her were 9/10, but the rest of the anime is somewhere between 5 and 7.
