How did that conversation escalate from panicking over the apparent loss of a hometown to Holo asserting that Lawrence clearly never cared about her and only saw her as some "weak lamb" to amuse himself with? She perceptive enough to know that isn't the case.

Amarty is a seditious little dickhead who clearly revels in the thought of "claiming" women who are close with other men. I'm not sure why all the characters are brown-nosing him about how knightly and principled they think he is, as he possesses neither of those attributes.

This episode had me upset with Holo more than anyone else. She causes so much trouble for Lawrence to the point where I wonder what he sees in her
The show makes a point to remind us that she's "Holo the Wise Wolf" but she acts more like a fox with how sneaky and reckless she's been. I know it's framed as unintentional on her part, but she should've known going around and playing the role of this woefully imprisoned maiden for funsies wasn't the best idea

At least the visuals for the festival were nice..

Oh damn. That's a tough position to be in. Luckily the relationship between the two has plot armor (being the main protagonists and all). I'm really curious to see how Lawrence fixes this... I can't blame him for his choices but they definitely back-fired hard that moment. And Holo was too agitated from the new information. It was really painful to watch because there was no way Lawrence gets out of this discussion positively despite his actions being done in good faith.

a much better episode than the previous ones.

I'm glad Norah is alluded to in this episode. I know she won't appear here.

Two bombshells happened:

1. the young lad wants to marry Holo

2. Holo read what happened to Yoitsu

Not exactly defending Lawrence here, but I honestly don't know what he should've say right then and there. Maybe not saying much and waiting for her to cool down was the best bet. That said, he does need an answer to why he took Holo under his wing. Am curious to see what exactly he will say.

Bruhhh. That Amati guy is really serious about getting Holo. No wonder Lawrence ran like his ass was on fire.

It was pretty callous of Lawrence to accept the contract instead of tearing it apart as Holo imagined. And of course, this decision would later come back to bite him in the ass... Or more specifically, his action of not telling Holo about the fate of Yoitsu...

Wtfffff. That ending was pure wtfffff. Man. Imagine learning all of a sudden that your hometown is gone and all of the people living in it are possibly dead. Anyone would be mortified. But having the closest person you knew keeping this a secret must've been an insane feeling. It's an insane betrayal of trust. No wonder Holo is jumping to conclusions. She just learned that her loved ones are probably dead after longing for them for centuries and the only person she trusted didn't tell her that as soon as he could... I think it'd be hard to keep your head cool no matter how wise you are. Besides, she didn't know Lawrence for very long considering her lifespan. So, I think it's slightly justified that she's acting like this for now. Even if her accusations are baseless, it must feel like the truth to her for now after the betrayal of trust. She might not be human but she still has feelings.

I just feel bad about Lawrence. The dude probably didn't know how to break it to her so he didn't. Looking for the "perfect time" which didn't exist... That was his big mistake. I can kinda relate to him withholding information because you don't know what to do or say (tho not to this degree) but the fact is, no matter what you say or when you say it, it'll always hurt the other person. So, it may be best to be quick and upfront about this sort of stuff.

I just wish we got to see more of Lawrence and Holo dancing. But I doubt that'd happen anytime soon after this...

This episode was incredible. Spice and Wolf was already a great series. But now I'm understanding why this series is so well-regarded.
