I realized now what this is. Snack Basue is Yakuza: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: The Anime.

It's got the same whimsy and randomness, the same kooky characters that turn Japanese salaryman culture on its head through entertaining extremes.

Poor Morita, getting insulted by everyone, but at least today is a good day.

Does anyone know the song that's referenced at the end. The one Akemi mentions when Tatsu wanted to sing a duet.
Akemi says 'Is it the kind where you want to grope a breast near the end of a song while you sing it?'

I agree!! This show has given me major Yakuza series vibes from the very start of its run. The comedy and atmosphere are really similar.

I was convinced this show couldn't get any better, but then they made a meta joke about overseas viewers and, once again, I grew to love it some more.

I pity the mainstream viewers who will never know true cultural satire with such quality voicing and well written sketches. Last week was still the very best, but Morita’s personality being peeled back week by week to reveal more horrifying flaws just kills me 😳

This week was too slow for my tastes but I still liked the weekly Morita evisceration.
By the way, the joke about grabbing a breast during a duet was referencing this music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wRQlA52VGk

Morita, just be a villain at this point, popular or not. But wanting to pair himself with Yamada, the latter's quite innocent, though the former is revealing his fetishes more and more, through his lies. But in a sense, he just wants to get popular...all for Akemi. And Yamada's non-virgin story, he indeed has an episode, and Morita...just faded into obscurity lols.

Akemi muting out Russian before Kosame, they try to find something to do. Oh welp...

Miki bringing about his middle school yearbook, and Akemi gets interested to finding out his past. Though for Morita, wanting to increase his chances and being the virgin connoisseur that he is, he gets some details right...though jerking to them, he's quite the gross jerk. But rather than finding him, they find others...and eventually to him, which he was a pretty boy before then...and getting bullied for his innocent looks. But whatever Morita did, she always makes girls cry.

The half painkiller of kindness, along with Tatsu and Mama Basue coming in for a duet song, though influenced by Douglas Hamada...it's a good day for one.

The "there's 0 chances that anyone overseas will get this reference" is so true, it's damn meta.
