| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| You are aware that Crunchyroll themselves showed the first two eps early at Sakura-con in Seattle right? (as well as Ep 1 of Gods' Games which as mentioned by @lampblasted was also leaked) That's probably where the leak was from, not someone hacking Crunchyroll's servers. |

These "leaks" are just simple mistakes that happen regularly because of miscommunication. For example, a weeks ago 20 episodes of Star Trek Prodigy got "leaked" in France. The season doesn't even have an official release date yet! |
| Mods should just unlock episode 1 thread. SINCE WHEN they care about it? 2 episodes are leaked. Move on mods. |

| Neah and in fact they'll likely lose a small amount of money if people pirate it vs wait for crunchyroll or to watch it on TV in Japan. Probably not that many will pirate that weren't gonna, but definitely a bad mistake for them. For example I was gonna watch on Crunchyroll, but I'm not willing to wait almost 2 extra weeks for the episodes. Hence Crunchyroll is less convenient for the first 2 episodes for me. I can see other things from that schedule also leaked, like Hibike! Euphonium s3 episodes 1-2 and Unnamed memory |

They didn't bother to migrate to the new CR servers, so the early premiers got uploaded to the old Funimation servers. This happened to 10+ other episodes, not just Konosuba. |

Leak was determined to be from the Crunchroll premieres event at Puerto Rico comic con. The group that leaked is still uploading a few new leaked episodes every day. Episode 2 should leak sometime in the next couple days since it was on the schedule as well.

| @Bpendragon but what about all the other shows that have had mistaken release 'leaked' first and second episodes? were they also part of the Seattle convention? also, i would guess the security at a con in the US is 'stronger' as opposed to that con in Puerto Rico mentioned later on in this thread... not to insult the folks in PR... you're US Citizens just like the rest of us! :D as MAL itself is already stating for 'Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included', "Each episode was streamed one week in advance of the TV broadcast on ABEMA starting on March 30, 2024. Regular broadcasting began on April 6, 2024." so i would suggest, me watching ep1 and ep2 of that one 'online' for free is thanks to folks recording those ABEMA episodes and uploading them, not leaks. |
