| Started out slow but then got better and better. What a surprise. |

| Since I've heard a lot of good things about the manhwa, I was incredibly excited to see what the Japanese adaptation in anime form would look like and honestly, the first episode was everything I could have hoped for. Especially because I played World of Warcraft for over 13 years, the premise of gates, dungeons, loot and the power system has a lot of appeal, even if everything has been kept simple so far. Our protagonist Sung plays the classic role of the weak character, who unfortunately has to endure a lot of negative things at the moment, but will probably experience a serious power boost later. Nevertheless, one has to give him credit for not giving up despite all of his terrible experiences so far, in which he could often have even died. We were introduced to some characters, in this case hunters, who will definitely play a big role later on. Obviously, the blonde lady in the form of S-rank hunter Cha Hae-In should be highlighted here, as she was also seen in the trailer and I am eager to find out exactly what role she will play in this story. The fact that the Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association Go Gun-Hee is voiced by Ginga Banjou, who also voiced Netero, couldn't have been chosen better and immediately brought back lots of memories about HxH. I have to admit that based on the trailers, I wasn't entirely sure about the animation at first. However, it was the fight scenes that taught me otherwise. At the same time, I was completely unaware that Solo Leveling would contain such brutal scenes, which was of course absolutely welcome, as it gave the final section of this episode a lot more intensity and shock factor. In general, it should be great fun to follow the direction in which this story and Sung as the protagonist develop over the next weeks. |

| I could tell already, just from this first episode, this is going to be another unoriginal dog shit isekai, like a worse, more forgettable version of Sword Art Online. "YoU Don'T HAve tO WatCh It!1!" You're right, and I'm not. I gave it the three episode rule, and now I'm going to forget all about it in two days. Let this comment stand as my review of this terribly dull and uninspiring bundle of soiled linen. I advise no one else waste their time on it. 3/10 |
| Solo Leveling the manhwa thats meant to be the best of them all from what ive heard from plenty of people. So did the anime live up to the hype? Yes, after just one episode im hooked the story so far seems very interesting with the magic beasts and the magic ranks, and are main character whos really weak. The animation is was also very good and the fights aswell. Id love to know how are MC is gonna get stronger with him being an E rank. They should have put more thought into going down that dungeon with there being a second tunnel. Those statues were cool i like the on with its laser eye attacks. Also Chae Hae In is very beautiful.  i cant wait to see more of her. |

| Well at least CR is streaming the uncensored Japanese version that keeps the Korean names, but I would've thought they wouldn't half-ass this and put Korean as an audio option, too. (if the names didn't tip you off, maybe the fact the cars drive on the right, will). When I first saw the green enemy, my first thought was "Well f**k off, then, you P*ccolo wannabe." line from interspecies reviewers. |

| As many have been saying, the anime is really good, and the beginning was exceptional. I came here to check it out, and indeed, it's very impressive. The animation, the soundtrack, and many other strong points really elevate the praise that many have been giving. |

| I remember years ago reading the manwha and I though it's good, but didn't interest me much. Then so many fans really waiting and hoping for an anime series. And now it's finally here. First episode is good. |
| Pretty bland not even a regular déjà vu anymore but sth. of the like times a 1000. By the looks of it they are going the "Arifuerta" route: Weak, timid main chracter gets abandoned/ lost/ is the sole survivor of... and survives by sheer determination and witts to become any absolute killer mashine (Harem optional) I must say they better introduce some innovation quickly. |

| For a 8.4 rating I expected the anime to be not that dumb, the only quality it's showing is being edgy and full of gore. |
