The legendary BURAIKAN is taking the stage.

Heartlessly, the stage battle continued in the absence of BAE. Cutting through Kanata's protesting voice, the legendary BURAIKAN made its appearance. On the other hand, Anne and Hajun found Allen at their familiar live house. To the utterly despairing Allen, who had lost sight of his music, Hajun began to remeber a certain memory. It was about that day when the two of them first met.

BURAIKAN made such an epic entrance, and you know they're famous for a reason. The song was honestly so good—I can't deny it. Today's episode got me a bit spooked, but seeing the entire BAE crew together and sharing a sweet moment was really nice. Our little gang is back in action!

It's the last episode next week, and I have no idea what to expect.

This was the best episode so far what the hell. So the Nayuta we've seen all this time, besides the flashbacks, was an illusion. And since the Buraikan on the stage are illusions too, I'm guessing the ramen shop owner is one of the real members. And I guess Kanata is dead now? Really looking forward to the final episode!

I believe the hashtag #KanataLive should be introduced.

Ryu convinces me once again that he knows too much. He may indeed be a few hundred years old, but only he knows the truth.

It's sad that BURAIKAN's performance wasn't shown in full, they're really cool (but I still like Akanyatsura better)

Me after watching this episode: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SEE?

It's curious to start the episode with Shura's explanation of the Phantom Metal that we saw in episode 1 BUT that he did it again is to frame what is going to happen in episode 10!!

Buraikan has a new song and that Buraikan is fake, an illusion created by that mad scientist with seiyuu Akira Ishida.

Allen recovers thanks to Hajun and Allen EVEN THOUGH I'm glad they were away from the scene when all that chaos happened since they got rid of whatever that mad scientist is planning.

Nayuta is an illusion! Kanata made him unconscious after seeing what happened to Nayuta. So yes, Kanata "won" the tournament by himself by applying a "You against me alone" xD Incidentally, Kanata's trauma is revealed, which was the suicide of his brother....
The consequence of enduring 1 or 2 years with the constantly activated illusion that is erosion does not help either...

Ryuu's laugh was so crazy... my applause goes to his seiyuu, Natsuki Hanae, seriously, that laugh left me speechless.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO END ME LIKE THIS? I don't need sleep...I NEED ANSWERS!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Next week is the finale....and it will be called Paradox Live.....wait....WHAT?
.
.
.
WHAT THE HELL?, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO ADAPT THE 5 PARTS OF THE VOICE DRAMA LIVE? YES or YES they must adapt the events of both the post-tournament and prelude to phase 2!!

I'm not ready for the end of season 1!! and praying for notice of a 2nd season!!! I need to see the entire Road To Legend animated!

Wow… we’re almost done huh. Loved this episode ♥︎
Poor Kanata, finally remembered the truth about Nayuta and breaking down 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。 Also the end Σ(-᷅_-᷄)
Shiki was extra spooky this ep, even if I was glad to know his real opinions for once.
They made Buraikan look really legendary, truly kings. But also strangely hypnotic and eerie, their new song too. They really managed to push Kanata over the edge (>_<)
But now we pretty much know what happened, they’re both either illusions or fakes; Yasha probably died of metal erosion 10 years ago and Shura is the ramen owner guy (we finally got a good look at his face and hands, he has the same eyes and tatto). He’s trying to do something with and in Alter Trigger.
Also lab/doctor guy… super creepy, I shuddered every time he was on screen.
And lol Iori sounded surprisingly chill while everyone else was suffering from the metal resonance XD
But thankfully BAE managed to solve all their issues and is en route to hopefully save the day!
Next week, the last one is: Paradox Live!! Can’t wait ♪

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I liked what the anime changed for this part of the story. Alter Trigger has done nothing in the drama tracks so seeing them do something and actually being villains is super refreshing. I didn't really care for the basically nonexistent battle between cozmez and Buraikan. Fans didn't even get to participate in that and I know many others were upset by that too so seeing this kind of battle is a lot better. I also really liked that they showed the consequences to Kanata's actions. I thought it was weird that there was no effect on Kanata in the drama tracks considering Nayuta's illusion had been around for so long. The illusion breaking and his memory of Nayuta's death coming back to him and the metal finally taking over was really cool to see albeit heartbreaking. Though it also shows how strong he is. For there to be no effect when his phantometal was in use 100% of the time for who knows how long, that's honestly incredible.

I'm on the fence about cozmez winning by default, but it brought out another side of Allen that we haven't gotten to see before. Even though he is strong, the abuse he's taken from his parents still has a strong grip on him. I do wonder which songs they would have had cozmez and BAE sing since the "extra battle" wasn't a thing in the drama tracks and it came down to a vote between all 4 teams.

While the hot spring episode was a cute break from all the trauma and the depressing story, looking back on it after this episode, it feels like it took away from some important moments from what's going on now and the LIVE drama tracks since there's only one episode left. We'll see if the ending will be done justice or not. Or maybe we'll get a cliffhanger.

@StarJem Pretty much agree with everything you said! Especially about seeing Kanata's breakdown in real time, Kobayashi Yuusuke's voice acting so good at portraying the anguish that Kanata was feeling when finding out that this whole time, Nayuta was just his illusion...and remembering what happened to Nayuta ;_; His whole world collapsed, and the metal erosion quickly overtaking his body was so painful to watch. Definitely makes more sense in the anime that he is experiencing metal erosion, given that we are told again and again the risks of using phantometals.

It's hard to imagine how they'll end this in one episode. I want to say I wish the anime was better paced, but really, it just needs more episodes for this tournament, given how much drama cd content there was.

I'm also surprised we got to hear a new BURAIKAN song, really liked what we heard so far! I'm guessing that it will be released with the soundtrack 👀 Can't believe the song is called "Trauma," very fitting of what was experienced in this episode by the characters and the audience.

Maybe I’ve missed something along the way, but I’m really confused about what happened in episode 11.

I get that Nayuta and Buraikan are illusions. I get that Nayuta’s real body is (or maybe was?) with the creepy doctor in his lab. And I get that one of the Buraikan members is still alive and going to do something.

But why did Kanata going over the edge and becoming corroded affect every other piece of phantometal nearby? That has not happened when anyone else was going through metal corrosion. And it’s really strange and unusual that a single piece of metal can have that effect on so many others nearby instead of its own presence becoming diluted.

I assume we’ll get some of these answers next episode.

@tingy Yes! Kobayashi's performance was incredible! I got chills. You could really feel Kanata's pain. He and Gakuto really knocked it out of the park. Everyone has been amazing, but Kobayashi and Gakuto really shined.

I def agree. I think 14 episodes would've been better because some of the stuff that happens in LIVE should be added.
It'll be interesting to see how it ends. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

I wasn't expecting a new BURAIKAN song either since it was announced that there were 2 insert songs so I was expecting BURAIKAN is Back. Hopefully this one will be on the soundtrack.

It's a Buraikan Show Time!!!! Chisei is hot and Kensho Ono voice is so good, but also how his voice contrast with Haruomi / Junichi Sawabe, it's why Buraikan songs are so memorable.

Episode wise, already knew about Nayuta but seeing Kanata experiencing it was heartbreaking, wow.

48 and anZ cheering Suzaku up was really good, love the backstory.

So many things happened in this episodes. Like @StarJam, I rather expected to hear 'Buraikan is Back' since the music was already in prev ep. Waiting for this new song to be on Spotify.
One thing I honestly didnt like in this episode was animation. Since I really love their voices, I was hyped to see Buraikan animated, but got disappointed with low budget. xp Ippou, since they are fakes, that doesnt matter that much now. xp

I expected something to happen. But I didn't expect it to go that crazy!

I guess it's up to BAE and the guy with the grey hair (I believe I have a hunch who that is ^^) to rescue Nayuta and the others.

Except for Ryu. Seriously, I can hardly tell what's up with him anymore. I always believed he'd be some discarded experiment for an artificial human resistant to Phantom Metal (explains the immature personality, lack of trap reactions, ect.). But it seems there's more to him than that. Or maybe not, but the "distributed Metal" has a diffrent effect on him.

I'm really hyped for the season finale now!

I started throwing out theories about what I thought about who Nayuta really was after the episode where it explained Nayuta and Shikis backstory and I kept second guessing myself and when it was " confirmed " that he was somehow " alive " after falling onto the building via mattress I was kinda mad that the theory I threw out about him being an illusion made up by Kanata after he died. but I was so mad yet like YOOO I WAS RIGHT I was screaming cause it's not often I actually get right about one of my theories let alone episodes later

Well, looks like no one is really having a good time, huh? Tremendously great way to warn against the dangers of abusing drugs-- phantometal being the stand in for drugs, of course.
