Kufufu is crazy. Even whe she first showed up, there was something off about her but she showed more of her true nature this episode.

On the other hand, Pepesha is a truly a hero this arc/show deserved. She really grown into a character that others can trust and serve as a role model.

This show is more about Pepesha than Teru tbh. All that character development for her during the past few episodes have been quite remarkable.

And yeah, Kufufu is such a freak. O_o

Beautiful end to Tzveta and Pesha’s battle 😢 I’m glad they finally got to communicate everything to each other and nothing was left unsaid. Think we can all relate to wishing we could tell a parent or loved one how much we appreciate and miss them.

Last 15 mins or so were just a cathartic experience but no complaints. They both deserved that vodka together lol. You could really feel in Tzveta voice how proud she was of her daughter for growing up and continuing to spread love and positivity. She’s no longer that hungry little girl that she knew.

And again, even though she’s younger, Teru continues to be the one to help motivate pesha to move forward and continue spreading the love her mother left her with.

Plot wise, we now know how stigma’s abilities work and his weaknesses. Knowing is one thing though, the challenge is how to stop him. Sad there’s only one ep left here! Onto the manga after

Kufufu is so goofy.

This episode absolutely wrecked me seeing Pesha having to see by to her mother twice such a sad episode I cried way too much.

I’m curious to see what the final episode is gonna be like.

Given this show doesn’t seem to be particularly popular I’m guessing we won’t get a second season. But shy was initially planned for 24 episodes so there’s always a chance that they’re gonna do split cours or something.

I can hold out hope that I’ll get to see more.

They should rename the show “Pepesha”. I can’t believe they wasted so many episodes on this mama story when it could’ve been over in one episode. I’m not happy I stuck around so long, but now have to finish the last episode to be done with it. It had promise too…

If this is it the show is a 4/10. If it keeps going and an actual story shows up and the supposed main character actually goes somewhere, then I can see it reaching a generic 7/10.

I wasn’t expecting much when the show started airing, but I’m glad that I stuck through.
Pesha has an amazing mother, and it shows through the amazing person she became. Sadly Pesha lost her mother twice now, but at the very least Letana disappeared happily, and with her daughter by her side. R.I.P Letana.

Even though Stigma is the antagonist it was because of him that Pepesha was able to see her mom again. Don't get me wrong, I understand that Stigma used Pepesha and her mom for his own gain but that backfired and both Pepesha and her mom got closure (and intel on how Stigma works).

I hope there's another cour/season announced soon as they had previously introduced several characters but the 2nd half of this mostly focused on Pepesha and, to an extent, Shy.

I honestly don't understand that about this show. It has been one of my favorites this season. A more slice of life approach to superheroes with a dark undercurrent and super emotional turmoil. It's everything I've ever wanted in an anime. I guess I'm the only one... :(

Pepesha realizing her spirit and heart to her mother, which is now imitated by Tzveta, she really attempts to speak to her. But the menace being Kufufu, Teru gives her a push to bring those feelings across, and despite how cornered Tzveta is, Pepesha managed to reach her mother by the deepest depths of her soul, having realized that she'd write letters to the orphanage that she was housed in, asking her if she had been well taken care of, apart from alcohol being the medicine to bring adults back to their childhood self. It's only after losing her mother that Pepesha realized that she needs to be the living embodiment of her love for her mother, despite being bad at her expressions.

The consequence being that Tzveta will disappear once her dream has been dashed, and she makes it clear that what Stigma does is to make people's dreams come true, but at the cost of evil to turn the world upside down against people like loved ones (as such with Pepesha and her mother Lenya). And that's the request of Lenya to stop Stigma and have heroes save the world, while having alcohol together as a mother-daughter family for the last time, living life like it was worth something.

The ring that Lenya left behind, it certainly is one of Stigma's rings.

Pepesha's redemption arc, it was great and filled with emotions and feels.

FECKIN HELL

I'm really glad but also am kicking myself for holding off to watch episodes 10 and 11 together rather than on a weekly release. At least I got the closure from both episodes, but the depression factor of that backstory hit me like the force of 100 truck-kuns. Believe me, I was trying my best to not release the water works because I don't think anyone signed up for two episodes of this suffering.

On the bright side, the mother-daughter confessions were such a nice way to clear up their misunderstandings and be open with one another, drinking together for the first and last time. At least we get more information about the antagonist and what his plans are—even if it had to be conveyed in this manner—allowing our heroes to continue their research and fight back, which probably has already been developed in the manga.

What a bittersweet ending as we begin to wrap up this season, and I'm kind of glad that I stuck on to this series to its end.

Yet another very well directed episode focused on Pepesha and Tzveta. I do admit this arc dragged a bit at points but it was still a very solid and emotional experience, a lot of it due to the directing. Can't believe it's gonna end next week, but a second cour is probably gonna come out next year.

@Mcsuper At least the way it's been adapted means it's been up to date with the English releases of the manga. I feel like next week's episode will need a bit of padding out but will just see us through to the end of Volume 4 and the new character introduction but end there. If it's getting a second cour next year it'll give a bit of time for the translated manga to get ahead a bit.

I was about to lose it when Pesha's mother first started fading away. Her dream was to drink with her daughter and you can't end it like this! Luckily the two got to drink together and fully connect that bond before everything came back to reality. I'm extremely happy Pesha heard her mom say to her that she loved her.

It's so nice to see an action anime actually take it's time! That's so rare these days, especially for non-original anime, as they have to fit the 12-13 episode format.

Even though I already expected Tzveta to disappear at the end of the arc, it was really sad. I'm glad she was able to fulfill her dream with her daughter. And vice versa!

Also quite rare to see alcohol addiction actually be taken (somewhat) serious in anime. I don't really have a problem with the comedic trope, but it's much better if treated properly. I wonder if Pepesha will cut the liquor a bit now.

I wonder what they'll bring as season finale now. Perhaps already a cliffhanger for a second season/cour, as rumored?

What I'm just as curious about are the score and reviews. 6.65 doesn't fit the comments I read about this show at all. I guess it might go up a bit next week.
