@Tenzen12 If he was as good as it was sold to us he wouldn't have started fight in disadvantageous terrain. Or have you forgotten initial few episodes where he doesn't allow NPCs to trick him.
| @MeanEYE This was his first try and it's obvious Sunraku is someone who prefer figure things on his own, rather then checking guides all time. If he lost, he might spend day or two trying various stuff (and probably dying multiple times) until he break through, but this was first time fighting it and he was unprepared. No matter how good people are, things will never be be smooth sailing on blind playthrough. If you think about it, It was same with Python actually. That's why he almost got done by poison. |

| Good thing Emul was with Sunraku otherwise he would've died for sure. However, even though he and Emul defeated the boss now there is a bigger issue to deal with due to having gone viral with that pic of himself and Emul. Good luck dealing with a lvl 99 PKer... maybe he can negotiate. |

| I have to appreciate just how well adapted the online interactivity in this anime is portrayed. Not only do the spread of information through the forums and clans make sense within the rules of that world, the way everyone reacts is part for the norm. It's night and day compared to others (ahem SAO). Same thing regarding the boss fight and the use of skills which was consistent throughout. Mc was even genuinely going to die there and was saved by Emul and his luck stat. It's a pleasure seeing that things play out how they are supposed to. Regarding Emul's transformation... yeah, same reaction right there. |

Not to mention that Shangri-La Frontier keeps reinforcing the idea to the player that the game can be beating in unique ways thanks to skill and expert knowledge. Glad Sunraku was carried by the bunny girl. Shows he still has a lot to learn about this game. His super reflexes thanks to trash games are certainly helping him but they're still a ton of elements that help you beat a boss as well. We also got some more set-up with people planning to gain up on Sunraku. Advanced players are accurately guessing what led to the chain of events. Some are willing to kill him over and over until he spills everything. He most likely will team up with his gaming buddy over there or they'll probably give some kind of support to him. |

Episode before Sunraku game pall told Sunraku that Pencilgon playing SF and sent he e-mail that Sunraku now does too. Edit: Ah my bad. I missquoted. | At least it was implied Sunraku actually feels pain in the game. They actually managed to make Emul cute in human form too without seeming like a different character. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| The action looked solid but the fight itself was pretty weak in this episode (felt too gimmicky for me), but the final few minutes did make it a bit more interesting plot-wise to watch, Sunraku's got quite the target on his back in general. |

| I thought Emul was just a special quest character in-game and would probably just disappear as soon as it was all over. So when she joined his party and then stuck around helping him (and having a human form to boot) I was like lolwat.. this must be some next gen ChatGPT AI. Enjoying all these new developments with Sunraku getting more screwed the more he plays SLF. Wonder if he's going to be like some fugitive getting chased around now for all his secrets haha. |

| Do have to admit, after binging the entirety of Detroit Metal City the band in the OP feels like it's hitting harder. But it's time for another episode of Sunraku's adventures with his bunny friend. The battle against a shark thing with legs that debuffs movement speed with the environment. I'm glad that Emul can do things, magic is handy and he already knows how useful it is to have a similarly-skilled party member. Meteor Fall FTW. For real though, the bunny turned his death-scenario into an actual attack through slight teleportation and luck. Of all things luck can do, for it to turn such a coincidence into a fatal attack.. now that's genius. Of course with 1HP remaining. And now the vorpal bunny has a human form too? This mascot is too good of a partner. Sunraku, preach. When you say the game's looking like "some kind of harem game with an anthro bunny girl", that's what it is XD but hey I'm not complaining about an anthro bunny girl. If only it lasted longer than 4-5 minutes a piece. Thirdrema unlike the other cities looks like it's wedged between natural walls. If only they could quickly enter the town under Emul's disguise and sneak away to the other dimension. But nope, Arthur Pencilgon the Pencil Knight decided to screw with them at the gate (along with a bunny loving girl). Emul's going to run out of time before they make it to a save point, let alone escaping. rip the fact Sunraku's details all got exposed by a girl without gaming etiquette. |

The time has finally come for Emul human mode to shown up, but damn its actually just for a short while? Not to mention all the eyes in Shangfro finally met out to Sunraku tattoo, and the talking bunny too ofc; thanks to the shameless paparazzi with no concern at all taking the picture. So say bye to the Lycan focused plan, or even finishing up the aniki boss-rabbit training quest. Guess the birdman need to deal with the popularity issue first, eh? |

It did have some good gaming parodies, but that's just all there's to it. And, as expected, these ran dry pretty soon.
The big problem of the show is that I just don't care about a fictional Walkthrough of a fictonal game. It's predictable and boring. And there were no signs this issue would be addressed anytime soon.

| This episode made me a lot more skeptical of SLF being a "god-tier game." Despite how fleshed out the world of the game seems to be, Allowing maxed out players to pvp and spawn-camp players of a much lower level wouldn't work out well in an irl. In a similar vain, it's interesting how everyone seems to be on the same server, which makes me wonder wonder how much more advanced the tech of this world is, if it's able to host hundreds of thousands of connections at once (also, how wouldn't the towns be cluttered with players?). |

| I have to agree that the bunny really did carry that fight. Using fall damage against you makes for a really annoying boss fight. I don't really see why Sunraku wants to keep the talking bunny a secret so badly. It's not as if those marks are easy to get anyway. |

| Sunraku and Emul vs. the Mud Digger, and as hard as it seems for the former, the latter is much well-versed in her magic that she can hold the boss down while the former lands damage to the boss, though its special effect will ensure that players get killed from severe fall damages, hence the "solo killer". And it;;s because iof Emul's magic teleport that Sunraku is saved from his fall, and that power transferred to the Mud Digger for a complete victory. How to hide Emul's rabbit self? Through her Vorpal Bracelet that turns her into a rabbit beauty, but that form is quite the exhaustive transformation that can only last minutes. Onto Thirdrema, Emul concocting a pull-ass story, though Sunraku had already made his rounds in the forums from Secondale, and one of the players of Animalia noticed early before the news spreads to everyone noticing, even Orcelot of Asura Kai, the clan of player killers, who sought to protect him due to his privacy being leaked. And once a certain someone came, he know that it's his fellow trash friend Pencil Knight, whom in SLF, comes as Arthur Pencilgon, the Lvl 99 player killer. A fight between fellow trash gamers, who will win? |
