| @Ripperdoc Because the majority of newer anime watchers aren't willing to go back and watch an "old" anime (S1 was 2016) unless it has some Death Note or SnK type hype behind it, and there is no real entry point to the show except from the very beginning. You could start at different conflicts, but you'd never be as attached to the characters. Plus BEDs continues to build and build in terms of stake and storyline. S1 gives off very different energy than S5&6. The beginning is a bit more slice of life and sort of slapstick comedy, and that by and large disappears except for a few moments here and there later on. |

Obviously it isn't going to result in the ending that they fed to viewers as Fukuchi's plan. Any present timeline shown in the show is unreliable with Fukuchi'a ability in play or anyone else that could use him. Considering his 12 second get out of jail/this isn't how time travel works card, it can be used at any time to "cut" into this season's arc and change events so they can later align with the source material. So basically, it is a dramatic "to be continued." Fukuchi's plan can't be set into motion completely until the vote 2 hours into the future, so basically he left his entire plot vulnerable by allowing for a 2 hour window of vulnerability. |
