Horimiya
| I didn't watch Horimiya, so i Will do. But since i watched a lot of rom/com , romance anime. I can tell you that no one ever beat Maison Ikkoku imo and this one is an anime from 1986 ! I watched some deep sad romance, to rom/com , to some bad ending, hurtbreaking ending, good ending. And this one is still my favourite. Same mangaka made Inuyasha, urusei yatsura and -> Ranma 1/2 which is very good too. Top 5 romance ( not in order ) : Oooku (The Inner Chambers) - Maison Ikkoku - Golden Time - Snafu (My Teen romantic comedy) - School Rumble |

| i mean i respect your opinion, however i do not share your take, for me it was quite the opposite, i think its one of the worst romances ive seen so far. I honestly dont see the appeal of it, the side charcters feel super bland to me, i dont find any depth to them so they are meh to me. The only appeal i see to the series is how quickly the mc and fmc hook up, and their cute moments. For me just this sole reason cant make it the best romance anime. Plus the developments on the anime felt super fast, it didnt feel it on a normal pace. I just want to say that this is a subjective take and im anime only, im aware the anime adaptation wasnt that great but i honestly dont want to pick up the manga. |

ngl this is one of the best for me cause it doesnt drag their relationship out. I mean they get together relatively early in the series

| @satchoff Thats some old ass shit, respect on that. Most romance anime that I watched takes 100 ep to just be together and another 100 to just hold hands, For Horimiya its completly different, feels more relatable because what what people do IRL |

For me its the most overrated Romance and the main reason is that it was overhyped when it aired and i expected a masterpiece and honestly it really wasn't that great
Nana is the best romance imo itazura no kiss and kaguya sama are good as well
But people have different tastes horimya is a show that people who don't like drama will like so i kinda understand that for you this is the best romance

| @Weebhpk For me Horimiya is relatable because in true romance their aren't that many drama, romance is slice of life of everyday things happening with your partner. Most romance anime takes 100 ep to just be together and another 100 ep to just hold hands, Horimiya is the opposite of that. |

| I haven't seen it, but it will have to go some to beat KareKano. I'm always puzzled by people calling Kaguya-sama a good romance, because to me it's a fantastic comedy that falls apart when it tries to go in for the serious romantic bits. |

They've become a proper couple within a few episodes, and by the end of the 26-episode run they've even had sex. |

| @GoshaX i mean i respect your take, its your opinion at the end. However i dont agree, and although i do enjoy slow burners, ive also read and seen romance stories that they hook up early and the story is better than horimiya. Either way it was nice hearing another input abt the series. |

| This post gave me a migraine. There are definitely many romance animes that are better to both Horimiya and Kaguya-sama from what I've seen many romcoms so far. What are you smoking..? If you're talking about that kind of romance, KareKano, Bokura ga Ita, and Tsuki ga Kirei are top contenders. Don't forget Nana exists. |
