| The beginning of kenshin have its purpose to introduce the main cast and their background, so it isn't exciting. However kyoto arc is where this series raises the bar high thus we'll see. The og so far have an upper hand in term of soundtracks imo in that arc as well, sound design is as important as animation goes and can hinder some of the immersion. It's decent so far for me personally. |

It is, clearly less popular that you would expect from a title as well known as kenshin. It's not unpopular, but it is about average or maybe even a little below in terms of popularity this season. which is less than what one would expect. |

However , even the shows you mentionned aren't unpopular either. x) To be honest , the reputation of Watsuki and his works did dived in the US. The ongoing Sequel is not even available legally... And we are still talking about a story of the 90s. Without memes or poster girls , there really is not many of them that are still popular nowadays. |

| Most of young people dont even know about the original version of this anime.... and that says a lot. Second, this anime is kinda slow at first... but it gets pretty good the further it goes. A Solid Classic.... One of the Best Ones or maybe the Best One i saw during my childhood. |
