There was the Original Manga , a great balance of Action/Comedy. The 1996 Anime adapted it , but altered quite a lot of content , while also adding even more Comedy. This 2023 adaptation follow the events of the Manga , but removed a lot of the Comedy , to make the story more serious. So actually , just pick the one which you will most likely like , and you can always (and i invite you to) experience the other when you want to. If you really want a recommendation , then i'd say watch this one , and when the Season is finished , you can go-back to the beginning of the Original Anime/Manga to see how different it is , or continue from it to see the continuation. |

| Seeing Kenshin defend the citizens without killing anyone has really inspired Yahiko to be a better person as shown when he returned that elderly woman purse. I can’t wait to see Kenshin save Yahiko next week. |
