This episode is kinda gloomy. Wataru and Aika's relationship hasn't progressed much but at least they are on decent terms now.

And while his sister doesn't always show it, she does care for Wataru's well being after all. Idk, this episode seemed kinda dull compared to the others.

The manga isn't the source material, the light novel is.

It felt like there was a tiny chance this would deliver an experience like Rascal and Bunnygirl with characters developing through somewhat caustic interactions, but it's definitely not panned out. Dropping after giving it more than a fair chance.

man this had potential for me but I'm growing to not really enjoy the episodes now. the sheer willpower the main couple has to deny their feelings to the point of pushing each other away even just as general acquaintances is pretty brutal. it just kills the vibe for me

Kei is undoubtedly the best girl, and there's no room for doubt now. She's absolutely right about Sajo being quite clear about his feelings, and it's high time for her to express her own. The chemistry between Sajo and Kei is delightful, and it wouldn't be a bad idea if they started dating – it could be a lot of fun!

Sajo's hopes for a peaceful lunch were shattered when he encountered the intimidating student council girls, except for Yuyu. They do have quite a formidable presence.

While Sajo claimed he had moved on from Aika, the situation with Sasaki seems to suggest otherwise. It's almost as if his life has become stagnant since he let go of Aika. Perhaps now, his new motivation lies in trying to surpass Sasaki's grades academically. It could be a way for him to channel his energy and strive for something new and fulfilling.

Outside of the ponytail girl looking like Shizuku from Arifureta... I frankly don't care for this. I kinda don't know where this show is going. I'll give it one last chance but if doesn't hold up I'll drop it.

That said, the highlight of the episode was Sajo trying to dye his hair.

I don't know where you got that he "moved on" he's just "stalking" from afar now.

The "appeal" of the show is SOL, tsundere main girl, and endless misunderstandings. If that's not your bag, then you can pretty much call it quits.

It's probably not the show for you, the "plot" puts huge roadblocks in place when it comes to just basic communication between the leads. If you can't laugh at these situations or emphasize with the bizarre situation Natsukawa finds herself in after the MC "snaps back to reality" then I can't imagine there's much to enjoy here. Everyone wants to call her a bitch, but her only form of communication with this guy, for years, had been to reject him or tell him off, so it's only natural that's her first instinct any time they speak to one another. lol

I find basically all the secondary relationships and interactions believable and enjoyable. but the main couple is just too hard to believe. but I'm still willing to stick it out so far hoping that changes

Considering the circumstances, I don't actually find it that hard to believe. Well, in the context that they're both very dense, that is.

Idk I feel like this is constantly on the verge of being a really good anime but it’s just missing something. Like a little bit of seasoning or some dressing. I do appreciate the character depth they’re trying to create, but some of the scenes just feel like chores to get thru.

The MC and Kei have the best chemistry and they need to be together lol.

She doesn't like him yet though. She is on the cusp of going in that direction but right now she simply doesn't really understand where her feelings lay regarding him and they probably need more interactions to move in that direction, anyways, due to his prior behavior. It would be way to unrealistic if she suddenly just likes him out of no where.

I'm guessing you are quite new to romance genre and the ones you watch, like Arifureta, jump straight to the end of romance within the first 1-2 episodes. Typical main genre romance have build up and she hasn't even reached the "liking him" part as they still need to develop their relationship first, but she is realizing her feelings for him aren't so simple and she was taking it for granted before. There are romance anime with a faster burn, but most tend to be slower burn like this with the romance gradually developing.

Quite agreed. I'm actually baffled at some of the responses other people are having the past few episodes not understanding their interactions and notably the main female's behavior.

I think it was a cool move of sasaki to ask sajo first before confessing natsukawa. He doesn't need to but still a cool bro move since sasaki knows sajo feelings and he is his friend and all that story between sajo and natsukawa.

my problem with natsukawa is that after he gave her what she wanted that it was to leave her alone, now she wants him back with the tsundere attitude. But this will change when she realized that she liked sajo all along and the ball will be in sajo court but I'm pretty sure it will be him denying it and it will become annoying.

The only thing that's getting me to come back each week is the confusion. Why does the character art look nice sometimes, but elsewhere it falls to the budget. Why make a plot point about dying hair when you forget about it for most of the shots, and then don't change his hair colour when he does dye his hair. They even made a comment that this new guy gunning for Aika is handsome, and that the MC is as average as you can get, but they're both drawn almost identically.
