After reading the comments it makes me realize how bad a fan base this anime has and we are only 5 episodes in! The fanbase just has a load of people who exaggerate how good the anime is because its 'Realistic'. Realise how I am using the word ‘Realisitic’ so much because that’s the only thing people use to defend his character. I don't even hate the series and I really want it to do well. But its people like this who spoil it for you. Thirdly, I don’t see the realism in his character. I saw a comment that said “The people complaining don’t understand that if they face the same situation, they will also act like him. They just cannot accept it ”. I cannot help but to laugh at this comment. Who in real life faces a situation where they rent a girlfriend and pay her for her services? A normal person would know that you can’t buy love with money (bear in mind he’s 20 years old). What person in real life is so awkward that he can’t even hold a conversation with his own friends without getting flustered and nervous? I’ve seen awkward people before and I’m a bit awkward myself. But I’ve never seen someone awkward to his extent. The only realistic part of his character is that he is a simp and a push over. However, I am not too bothered by this side of his character because I understand everyone has flaws. Hopefully, he improves himself as a character by the end of the series. So yes, I don’t understand because your point is complete nonsense. You can’t assume someone’s personality based on their like or dislike for a character. Do you know me? How would you know if I would act in the same way? Bruh not gonna lie I'm pretty sure I've read something very similar to this before on a previous episode discussion, idk if it was you or someone else but I remember that oregairu rezero realistic characters point you brought up so it was probably you lol, you copy pastin that stuff or what edit: nvm just checked, it is copy pasted lmao I stopped reading at "Kuzaya fans". Literally no one is a Kazuya fan. |
| I'd have enjoyed this anime more if I didn't have to watch the MC jerk it for five minutes. While the point they were making was significant, I feel like it could've been done more...tastefully. Oh well, not my story to tell. So, are we to believe that Chizuru is developing feelings for Kazuya? If so that's fine, but I don't think I'd enjoy seeing her just go straight from, "Business only relationship," to tsundere in a heartbeat. |

| I don't think Kazuya's a bad person like Makoto. I think he's just sexually starved and gets turned on easily. It's clear he feels super guilty about his horniness and has a terrible opinion of himself. Bad people in fiction are not normally that self-aware. They don't feel guilt or regret. He does not give me 'rapist' vibes....and fapping to photos? If I had a crush on a boy and found out his lips were in fact on mine while I was unconscious (to help me, not in a creepy way), I too would be flustered asf. Kazuya friend said " You put your life on line for her. If thats not love , the what the hell is?" Its called humanity and responsibilty duhh. @JASHINRYUU No no, 'humanity and responsibility' is 'letting the professionals handle it'. That is the logical way. They would have saved her and probably much more easily. That's why the two got yelled at so much by the boat staff later lol Kazuya jumped in after her without a second thought. His friend is pointing out that "he did not hesitate to risk his own life when it wasn't really that necessary." Unless you are a trained pro or something, jumping overboard after someone is very IRRESPONSIBLE, actually. There's no guarantee you will succeed and if you fail, now the pros have to fish out TWO people. Same as running into a building on fire to get someone else out You are never supposed to do that. It's heroic and noble yes, but it's really foolish and reckless. |

| Ah yet another classic... A Classic onsen ep! Unlike the shitshow that is the beach eps, this one is actually nice and much much less frustrating... Kazuya is starting to develop an honest feeling for Chizuru, but nevermind that. I don't care whether it's with Chizuru, Mami or the other 2 girls at this point. I just want Kazuya to grow some balls and see his character develop to something that is significantly less hate-able. |

About the story so far: the coincidences were not few, and from a male viewer standpoing it all seems too good to be true, but i don't care, they should keep it up and become a legit couple soon! |

Am actually a lady, but thanks for the compliment. :D (read the manga...I 100% support this couple...though another girl who comes later would be a better choice for Kazuya imho since they have such a wonderful connection but it wouldn't make sense from a writing standpoint) |

He can actually communicate better with her than with Chizuru, because he puts the latter on a pedestal, and basically worships her, like his family does as well. Imho not a good foundation for a lasting relationship, you don't have to be the same as the other, to make it work, but being more or less on the same 'plane' does help. Right now, they are far from on the same level. I will continue in the spoiler tags, because at this point in the anime, the new girl hasn't appeared yet. |
| Honestly, what a weird way to find out that you're into a girl. But, I wasn't expecting anything less from someone like Kazuya, anyways. I noted a few things from this episode. Chizuru is finally warming up to Kazuya's family (maybe even him), which I'm really happy about, and Kazuya found out his feelings for Chizuru. The guy is doing a really good job of catering to what he believes are her feelings, which I really appreciate. He's acting a little less wimpy, even though he still ogles at thighs and the like (can't blame the guy). Granny has to be the biggest driving force in their relationship right now, which I think is pretty funny. And I really love her character too-- she's lively, spunky, really loves her family, and above all... whales on gacha! Chizuru will probably find out her feelings and then they'll have to figure out their professional vs. personal relationship in the future episodes. I'm still holding on to the hope that we'll get more Mami-chan backstory! |

| I hope Mami will make a comeback later in the show :( And I loved the idea of a triangle. With Chizuru and Mami battling over Kazuya! And why the hate at Kazuya, he is very realistic and that’s what I like about him. A lot of guys won’t admit that they think and do deep inside the same thing as him! |

| The fan service was so high in this episode, lmao. Wtf was that fap scene. Also at this point, Kazuya and Chizuru would look good as friends. Like seriously, you're not together but at this point just become friends, something that Chizuru apparently picked up at the end, judging by the fact that she was enjoying the night. NOWWW, the next girl is about to be introduced. Can't wait for Ruka and later, Sumi. |

| Great episode! This is probably the point where Chizuru is starting to notice Kazuya. Still, gotta give it to the grandmas!!! They are really the star of this episode :) Surprised they showed the fap scene and even had Aoi Yuuki doing Mami's voice during those scene O__O Them dedication! |
| Kazuya imagines Ichinose in what he thinks are his last moments but still refers to her as Mizuhara. No first name basis, he rarely refers to her as "Chizuru", if this keeps up he should raise suspicion if he uses that name in from of their grandmothers a lot. Rental girlfriend or not, he cannot stand by and watch someone die, and what could Chizuru do but return the favour and give him CPR? But now he can't stop thinking about her when she wants to think about Mami instead. Those scheming grandmothers! Anniversary of her husband's death, absolutely not the time for Chizuru to say she is breaking up with Kazuya. |

| I'm a bit late to the party, but I just simply had to share my wonder.... A girl is sick, passes out and falls off a boat. A boy jumps in and saves her. Girl have to save the life of the boy once they wash up on shore. The coastguards finally find them and 'chews them out' and gives them a REALLY STERN talking to. Really do wonder how they manage to make such tasteless and despicable main characters, Kazuya is really hard to watch... So far, Chizuru is the only main in the show that seems human. And that Kibe guy is kind of likeable thus far aswell. |
