So, I've watched the whole thing already, and in my opinion, the previous seasons were all better than this one. For context, I've never really been a huge Demon Slayer fan, however, I've never been a hater as well.

I thought the story was literally the same as the previous seasons, the structure and everything, so I was pretty bored watching this one.

Until I watched the last episode.

To put it simply, you could call it a conclusion of everything that has happened so far in Demon Slayer. It's an answer to every tension that has been planted in the story trom the first season.

It's not the end of the show, obviously. But, am I the only one who thinks the last episode was literally a 10/10?, or at least, a 9/10? I was literally bawling lmao, so I do want to know how other people view this season as well.

This season being weaker than a previous ones in comparison is a common consensus.
It was also in the manga.
And yup. Final episode hit in the kokoro like a truck.

I also cried in the last episode. Season 3 is not as bad / not as intense as Season 2. Of course, the Entertainment District arc is always gonna be my preference over Season 3. 😊 You're not alone in feeling that way.

ufotable did a great job

as the DEPARTURE SCENE where everyone THANKED TANJIRO wasn't in the manga....and actually that scene was really good

after the fight the scene shifts directly but here UFOTABLE added some extra emotional moments

GREAT JOB πŸ₯‚

you're right
this season was pretty much the same as the last one
but the last episode......🀌🏻🀌🏻

one of the things that made episode 11 so good was the voice acting of Tanjiro's voice actor Natsuki Hanae

that guy really brings out the tears from your eyes, doesn't he?

this was the second time I've teared up watching demon slayer, and both the times it was Natsuki Hanae's voice acting that really welled up the tears

the first time was the last part of the movie, Mugen Train, when Tanjiro was screaming after akaza and when he was crying in front of rengoku's smiling dead body

and of course the soundtrack that ufotable chooses also helps

The season may had been underwhelming but was always engaging enough to keep you hooked up for what is about to come next

And both the premiere and ending were the highlight of this season, although it's not as good as the EDA

honestly, i think that because this season was a bit mid imo, it makes the ending way better than it should be (or the last few arcs as a whole). I won’t spoil anything but i thought this arc was mid as a whole in the manga. But because it was kinda meh it made the last couple arcs wayyyy better. If you don’t read manga then just wait, cuz while the last arcs aren’t anything new or technically special, they were almost astonishing to me purely because of how meh the arc preceding it all was 🀣

Yeah bro, Demon Slayer never fails to deliver when it comes to voice acting.

Even in season 2, I almost teared up solely because of the female demon's voice actor Sawashiro Miyuki.

I don't get how they can bring so much emotions in their voice while making it so convincing, it's absolutely breathtaking.

I have also never had any strong feelings for the show, but man did this season underwhelm.

The villains were not memorable at all, with the jar upper moon being the worst offender. The fish and water attacks felt like a joke character.
The upper 4 got a bit interesting, but then we never got to see a lot from his final form.

The mist hashira was a total dud for me, that backstory could have been anyone's in that world.

love hashira was fun, at least her backstory was different (eventhough a bit comical), but again we didn't see her do a whole lot.

I don't have much to say about Tanjiro, just standard good boy nothing much to develop here.

Nezuko was never even really a character for me, just a prop for the mc to have a reason to fight. That final episode thus had little impact on me, but maybe now she might actually develop into a propper characters because she's not mute anymore.

All in all the weakest part so far, but I was warned that would be the case. At least the show still looks great, which was always the shows best point.

The season was just okay, there were no fights that I want to revisit like Rengoku vs Akaza, Inosuke and Zenitsu vs Daki, Tanjiro and Tengen vs Gyotaro etc. The only thing that was good was Muichiro backstory and the animation for his moves were clean asf. I couldn’t cry for Nezuko because guess what she didn’t die lol

I agree with you. Tanjiro is the only character in DS that made me emotional and changed my opinion of the series in Mugen train.

last episode was absolutely minted however, overall the season wasn't particularly overwhelming to say the least. That being said, it was an enjoyable season. I wouldn't necessarily say it was bad, it didn't blow my mind though (until the end).

Fights were average but the animation on a select few episodes were fantastic and above average for sure.

Overall, I'd say I'm happy with how the season turned out, I can't say it's bad but I can't say it was the best season either.

Seems to be the consensus yeah. I thought the season was entertaining enough but not nearly as good as the previous. But the last episode of the season is one of the best in the entire anime right now. Definitely nailed the last episode. Tbh it really just seems like the material was the worst. I haven’t read the manga but I doubt it’s much better for this part. Writing was the weakest so far. Hopefully things will improve next season.

The quality of the last episode animation wise was amazing, however I am personally not a very big fan of the decision they made of introducing this kinda Deus Ex Machina thing with Nezuko.
For me this was a very underwhelming season with a very mixed end

for me
i really didn't like this season
just didn't feel the same as the previous one
it felt as if it was being dragged out
probably cause i wasn't binging it

the second season was better
but atleast this was better than the first

I feel ya...

While I love the series, this season felt like a drag and not much really happened.

The whole season felt like:

["I'M FINALLY GONNA CUT HIS NECK!!!!"

SURPRISE!!!! No!

"I'M FINALLY GONNA CUT HIS NECK!!!!"

SURPRISE!!!! No!

"I'M FINALLY GONNA CUT HIS NECK!!!!"

SURPRISE!!!! No!]

I'm just waiting for the Monty Python group shouting: "GET ON WITH IT!!!"

Yep, the voice actor is exceptionally good. I also enjoy his acting very much and think that his performance is a deciding factor in enjoying Tanjiro as a character.
Overall, I think that all DS voice actor are pretty good, but Tanjiros’s voice is amazing. As you mentioned, it is baffling how good he sounds in emotional scenes.
