For someone who already lives 400 years outside of their home, it shouldn't be weird for them to consider Japan as Elda's current home. So putting a perspective of her talking about the other world would need a sentiment like her longing for something, or someone, from there. In which case, that doesn't seem to be realistic since she's so preoccupied with her games and manga.

Tbh I would like to know what the point of the summoning was, but it just seems the show wants to be extremely laid back and not too deep on lore, kinda like Hidamari Sketch where the premise is cute girls doing art stuff. Even though they have their own unique backstories, they aren’t ever really fleshed out because the point of the anime is just an extremely well done slice of life.

We don't know how elves are summoned too: Are they "kidnapped" from other world, or are they summoning elves who want to be summoned? Anyways, considering how well they're treated, and all the luxuries of modern times with all the foods and tech, I think they'd NOT want to go back even if offered.

When it comes to Elda, she may just be ignoring the topic simply because she'd get depressed. Who knows?

They did talk about something from their original word once actually: How Bjorling Joring (AKA Tic Tac Toe) was popular and used to settle challenges between elves.

But yeah, they lived on earth way more than their original world, and have been treated great all that time, so of course they are happy here and consider it their "adopted world" if you will. Especially so for our Elda because of how much of a hikikomori she is. I would imagine the short elf that likes traveling talks to her miko about cool areas from her home world and what not though.
