How studio Drive is handling this show? Good or bad?

Hi, I'm not watching this show cause I will binge it when it's over, but I'm curious to know your opinion about how Drive is doing so far, since they will also work on Konosuba 3 after the studio change

If Deen managed to make it good, then Drive will do much better. So far it's very good and gives off that Konosuba vibes.

pretty mich just what you would expect from konosuba. nothing more nothing less in my opinion, which dont get me wrong, that is great

Well, im not a huge fan of this spinoff. Its not bad by any means, but for me pretty boring so far. I guess its just not my type of comedy

When it comes to production it's pretty much the same as the previous Konosuba entries. I think it's the same team, so that explains it. In terms of enjoyment, at least for me it's a little bit of a letdown. It ain't bad by any means, but the comedy and the characters aren't as good as in the main series. The synergy and comedic antics of the main group are what makes Konosuba good in my eyes. And this is missing here.

The animation quality is actually better than Deen, as the art is far more consistent.

About the comedy quality, the first volume of this spin-off isn't that good, although next episode is promising for other reasons 🤐

I think it’s great so far. If you’ve seen the movie and enjoyed the quirkiness of the crimson demons then you’ll like this show. The voice acting is top tier per usual as well.

I think the show is great, animation is better than Konosuba SS2 in all honesty, all the while still keeping the unique look. It's a spinoff prequel series so don't expect a lot of plot progression, but overall the characters are likeable and the comedy is top notch, I were laughing my ass off the whole time.

Production-wise I'd say it's the same as usual, nothing to complain here

But comedy-wise, it doesn't compare to Konosuba for me. Guess the absence of the rest of the gang (Kazuma, Aqua and Darkness) is what this spin off is lacking

It's not really about 'Studio Drive' doing this - it's the same staff as always but now they're in a different building. That's all that changed on the production end.

All I've got to say is this new series doesn't have the charm or humor that the original series and the movie have. It seems pretty drab by comparison.

Art style is the same but they are doing really bad so far. They are choosing to extend filler chapters yet cut out other parts? This is why the flow feels so disjointed and people are losing interest episode after episode.
Also the music doesn't seem to be hitting the right notes.
People giving these 9 or 10s are high since the source material itself is mediocre. Even the ops and eds feel lackluster vs the old ones.
This would have worked better as a short ova series/movie.

I’ll be honest, it’s not nearly as good as the original. The characters just aren’t very interesting. There have been some funny parts and it might be good for other people, just not for me.

Studio Deen Konosuba isn't a benchmark anyways, there's nothing to compare. 2 seasons of KonoSuba and this are goofy looking anime.

You might actually have issue with the flow of this show rather than the technical stuff. I think it's more of megumin's and yunyun's everyday life. That's what I've seen so far. I don't have issues with this as I watch a lot of slice of lifes, but I can understand why someone would take issue with it. Especially compared to the 2 season we had so far.

@Gator They sold only 700 blu rays. First 2 seasons had 10k each. Japanese voted with their wallet and realize the spinoff was hot garbage.
