I've been watching anime for about 20 years (started in the vhs days). I'll watch almost anything except yaoi, most giant mecha shows, shonen, shonen ai and sports anime. I remember watching Tenchi Muyo on toonami in the middle 90's along with Sailor Moon and a few others. I watch a lot of older anime series but pick and choose my viewing of newer ones mainly because there's just too much stuff to watch nowadays. I've actually been to japan a few times but can truthfully say the little bit of japanese I know came from watching anime.

Exactly, anime caters to so many tastes and preferences that it's practically an endless sea of content to choose from.

Kimagure Orange Road and Escaflowne are both on my way too long PTW list :-P

I don't think I've heard about Blood +, Maze or Haunted Junction before.

I've seen the first season and few OVAs from Oh My Goddess :-)

You're Under Arrest is on the top of my PTW list right now.

I've already seen Gunsmith Cats three or four times :D

Project Eden - is this the one where they destroy the whole planet? :D

I do watch anime from the 80's and 90's. Mostly OVAs (as it was the golden era of OVA). According to Anime+ I've seen 72 anime from the 80's and 108 from the 90's.

Speaking of which, have you seen or heard about Project A-Ko ? The whole franchise is one of the craziest I've ever seen. While watching Gall Force franchise I've learnt that anime are actually filmed with actors (as you can see for yourself in the making of special). Genmu Senki Leda is one of the first isekai anime, and Yawara! is better than Ranma ½.

I mostly stream my anime nowadays. But if I can't find a stream, or the quality is bad, I torrent it :/

I think I've seen at least one anime from each genre, except yaoi and shounen ai.

I'm no longer part of the seasonal aniime watchers crowd. I started watching seasonal anime in late 2015 with 5 or so from Fall season. At the start of 2016 it went up to 16, and at the end up to 20. In 2017 I was watching 26 anime from Spring season. That's when I realized I'm no longer watching anything from my long PTW list... So I picked the few most interesting ones from Summer season and nothing from Fall. In 2018 I've seen only one seasonal anime - Steins;Gate 0. I know I'm probably missing some great anime that aired in 2018, but my PTW list is already full :-P

Yes, I've seen those 3 movies :-)
