| Average Episode overall, It feels so long. But animation is improved from collection and sound track was good. I still have mixed feelings with opening song, but ending song fits with the weirdness of this show. I hope Other Episodes perform better, cause this ep was overall decent and boring at some places... |

| 'The Strange Hikizuri Siblings’ Stay as far away as possible from this family. They are all quite repugnant. Sound effects of the father at the end seemed out of place —- more comedic in nature rather than scary. All episodes (12) dropped together on Netflix. Series can be binged, but I think I’ll take my time with it. |

| I think this story wasn't a good choice, even more for a first episode. Too slow and too boring, and I hated Misako, she just screamed all of the 24minutes of the episode. Hoping that the other episodes are better. |

| There was not much to like in the story to begin with, but what is worse the visual style of th episode reminded me of how the cartoon network cartoons looked like ten years ago. It was nothing like the hypnotic and unique style the trailer of this show had promised. I am dissapointed. |

| Hikizuri siblings is an odd choice for the first episode. If you're making an Itou anthology, why start with comedy-horror? It fits better in the middle if anything. The OP is short but trippy. I found the JYOCHO ED too mellow and out of place in Collection, and feel the same this time as well. |

| not the right choice for a first episode. the tone doesn’t feel right for what the series was trying to accomplish. props to the dub voice actress that played the young girl though… assuming she was directed to sound as glass shatteringly annoying as possible. i don’t think this is a bad episode but not a good one to start the series with. |

His short stories are more 'art' than manga in my opinion. The real ghost coming out fell completely flat unfortunately on this episode. |
| I don’t mind this as the choice for the first episode. In my opinion, this story portrays Junji Ito’s goofiness in all its beauty. But the fact that they only adopted second half of it ruined the story. And they skipped the best part, too! If they were going to only adopt half, then they should have went with the first bit at least… |

| Adaptation is piece of hot garbage. It's embarrassing that authors like Junji Ito get adaptations like this shit. He and his work deserves much better treatment than that. And what the fuck is this opening bro, LSD shit lookin mirages and some trap-rap or whatever this is. And the music is only the peak of the whole mountain of bullshit and laziness. I can't man, the mangas are great and I love horror genre but this and the previous abomination by the same studio "Itou Junji: Collection" is too much for me. Just go read manga man I beg you. |
