I don't know if I wasn't paying enough attention or what, but throughout the whole episode I thought Jun was a girl. At the end when Shu was talking about killing him, I was just like "wait what?" I was so shocked lol.

Overall, I didn't enjoy this episode that much, but I can't wait to see how Yahiro reacts, especially after all of Shu's big talk.

That was terrible, and sad. But there was beauty in it. Beauty and poetry.

I'm starting to connect the dots. Earlier somebody mentioned that the apocalypse virus and the voids before they solidify seem to be made of the same substance. We also find that apparently getting the apocalypse virus allows you to see voids. We know that Gui is sick and can see voids (so apparently he is dying of the apocalypse virus). I'm curious to see just how the two are connected. What is the nature of the apocalypse virus?

So in the end he had to kill Jun, I am sure it will make him suffer a lot, but maybe he will change after this...

Boring nonsense. Now Shu is going to go on some depressed crybaby fit for the next few episodes. Where the hell was the schoolgirl during the battle. She just comes out of nowhere. The plot better progress because everything leading up to this has been lackluster, and we are halfway through the series.

Fuck Yahiro...I can't believe the guy had the audacity to ask Shu for help after everything he has done to him.

Despite being refered as "kun" many times in this episode, I really thought that Jun was a girl lol.

Nice Jun, thanks to your selfish wish now Shu has to deal with your shitty brother since he wasn't awake to see what happened to you.

Thought Jun was a girl lol. Rip I was hoping Yahiro would have memories of Jun's final moments but rip I guess he's gonna beat Shu up or join the squad.

I like that girl going "Ganba ganba lucky chance." haha.

"It's called knowing how to get ahead." He legit got "this guts thing is full of nonsense but ha ha. here we go again... that was embarrasing." there.

This episode had its somewhat decent parts actually.

Probably the first episode that I am giving a 4/5 for this anime.

I liked how they went back to that betrayal and then a new twist comes. And we finally know what Yahiro's Void is about.

Finally some insight and clarification on some of the points introduced earlier. Nonetheless, one of the better episodes so far. I’m not really a big fan of how Shu handles things though

Having watched the series, this episode was easily the best in it's run. The OST was superb, giving me those AoT vibes. No surprises there coming from Sawano.

That was better. No fan service to distract from the serious plot they are trying to pull off. Also the brother dynamic wasn't too bad.

ok, what the hell am I missing here?
Watched 9 episodes and still can't get the hold of this anime🤨🤯 like what is even happening here?
I thought GHQ was hunting Shu after he escaped their facility? but no! He is free! going to school like normal, as if nothing happened!
Why didn't Haruka (Shu's mother) react when she saw Inori at her house?? She works for GHQ doesnt she? Don't she know that GHQ is looking for her?? Is she a good or bad character??
Also, why didn't Segai capture Shu when he had the chance when he cornered him and Yahiro?!?

All this is too messed up! I don't think i can keep watching it at this rate🤯🤯🤯

'till the "kill me" moment this episode was quite decent, after that it went back to the series silliness lol.
it did gave me though a thought about how gai were able to get the power to know voids.
and shu is much more bearable this time around. maybe it's because there was no inari?

Dude's dumb as a door nail if he can't deduce the meaning behind "lucky chance". Sure we've had characters be clueless countless other times in other anime, but I think in this case it's a next level of dumb. Anyway, yay, the love triangle has been set up, with the obvious ship being obvious. As if we needed even more cliches. Idk why I'm critiquing it so much when I should've accept it as cliche central from the first episode.

While I'm glad that Yahiro sold out Shu before (which hopefully taught Shu a lesson in, not being so dumb), Yahiro has NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER in asking Shu for any favours. The only right Yahiro has of Shu is for Shu to absolutely beat the crap out of him. And yet, because Shu has such a BIG HEART... sigh. Like in this case Yahiro genuinely needs help for his sick sibling, but did Shu consider at all that it could've been another trap?

"If you think like an amateur, you'll die", well that's certainly rich coming from Shu who has learned next to nothing so far. And that impact should've definitely kill Jun-kun, but hey, it's anime I guess.

He's clearly shaken up, but at least Shu did what had to be done and got his first kill. Achievement unlocked: First blood

This disease virus me of the ELS from the Gundam 00 movie, with its metallic crystaline appearance and possibly sentient nature. Both can also mimic object's appearances.

The virus jumped from Jun to infect Yan's mecha and take control of it. But it was like the virus carried over Jun's consciousness over (or perhaps controlling it remotely like all the mecha are). Maybe the virus isn't biological but actually made up of nanomachines?

Jun claims he can see voids because of the virus. Gai can tell other people's voids (but it could just be Charisma), Shu can use voids (thanks to Inori). So Gai, Inori and Shu's genes mean they have some sort of control over the virus's abilities instead of getting sick?

Jun knew all along what his brother thought of him, a burden, a nuisance. Either Shu would kill the somewhat healthy Yahiro or the already infected Jun before Jun could crush Yahiro.

The man who stole Shu's father's ID was indeed his former colleague and in fact still works with Haruka. He took what Gai was searching for, but for what purpose?

They called the infected child a "cancer," which I think implies that the crystal could spread all over his body and become dangerous or something. I don't think he was about to die, because the facility he was in wanted to put him to sleep. Makoto has a great attraction to Shu, especially his strength. it wasn't meant to be the snipers hitting him. Dan's whole character revolves around excess, so the Endlave thing makes some sense. See the 'placing anti-air missiles on their sides' thing. And those pilots said something like 'Is this really necessary? Still doesn't answer my question as to why did the GHQ feel the need to go to such ridiculous lengths to chase down some kid with Apocalypse Virus who was smuggled out of one of their facilities but was probably close to dying anyway? I mean, sure, it's one thing to have Col Hans Landa go from house to house threatening nuns and French farmers, but why the need for two snipers (who were rather inept).
