Am I the only one finding it boring?

What's your thoughts on the show?

There is comedy in genre & 2 episodes in I see no comedy. The animation is great & foods look yummy but these types of shows feel very boring & barely watchable if there is no proper comedy. Last night I fell asleep while watching the 2nd ep.

What's you guys' experience with this show?

I can understand why you think that though personally, I love this show so far. There’s a lot of emphasis on the cooking but I like the SOL aspects. It’s a decently high-quality production compared to other isekai, with nice animation. I like the online supermarket gimmick, I think it’s funny and cute and I also like the MC as well as Fel. Lots of things make this show watchable and enjoyable for me.

From the manga, the comedy is there but not always like a gag manga. So far I enjoy it a lot since I hate typical overpowered isekai harem

Of course there might be other people that don't like it ... but thte statement about comedy? Weird to say that. But I guess comedy is just something where the taste of people differs most ... out of all the existing genres.

I know some people even consider stuff like Lucky Star (basically girls doing boring daily life stuff - SoL) comedy because for some reason they find it "funny" to watch normal everyday life without anything really happening. (Maybe they got no own life? Lol. :D)

Here there is more the situational approach - having the normal adventuring situation where it almost gets hilarious with the reaction of the chars. Of course you need to understand how the comedy works ... and like this type of comedy - to have fun with int. In episode 1 ... I sometimes had to smile. Episode 2 I basically felt like laughing hard every few mins. Especially with Fel and the reactions of the others and the main commenting in inner monologue. :D

"Gag manga" stuff on the other hand - too boring for me. (I dropped the Handymyn Saito thing early cause of that. Just some stupid lower-level type of comedy. But then again ... "matter of taste".)

I like this anime aww, it's maybe more for the adult, the mc is written good , at the moment there is no stupid harem I hope this will not happen,and no stupid demon king he must fight against, it's not like the most mainstream Isekai so I enjoy it really hard

I’m actually really enjoying this anime. I started it on a whim and it feels refreshing to watch an isekai like this. I personally find it funny, the beginning alone when they’re debating his name cracked me up and i found myself laughing and enjoying the episode throughout.

I think you're being disingenuous if you expect the comedy tag to be genuinely focused on comedy. Many modern isekai double as slice of life as well.

I fully expected the legendary beast to be female and transform into a waifu, so it's honestly refreshing that it doesn't seem to be the case so far.

I can see how it can be boring for someone with all the emphasis on cooking. Personally, I found MC's cooking animation at the end of episode 1 funny, especially how it got sped up each time, and Fel is a delight. More than watchable, it's (imo) one of the better shows of the season.

Not gonna go too into details but there's plenty of female characters in the show, but if your expecting romance look elsewhere, this isn't that kind of series(in fact, it's kind of a running gag that the mc is single).

I personally like it but I am type to rewatch Restaurant to Another World, Sweetness and Lightning, Today's Menu for Emiya Family and the like almost ad nauseum. If you came into it expecting a Konosuba or a Shield Hero, or a general power fantasy isekai, you were basically set up for disappointment. A lot of us are here for this average guy pointedly avoiding isekai politics bs and winning people and forces of nature incarnate over with delicious food because he can basically pull any ingredient he wants out of hammerspace. I probably enjoy it more because it takes jabs at isekai cliches I don't always care for in terms of execution from lazier narratives.
