| Bit of a cop out of that ethical dilemma, no? Where to draw the line of following the law to help people, or helping people by breaking the law. Kazuma's answer.... spend money to solve all your problems. I was shocked at the broaching of that topic cause it was a little, I suppose, deep for this anime. But of course they dismissed it immediately and it was used for sob story purposes. This wasn't a horrible case by any means, but the cop out at the end and the obvious method used with the ventilation from the second it showed it, made this a little unsatisfactory. |

| Dang Kazuma is so rich from his games. I wonder where his parents are. Well im glad it ended well. Detective being helpful is nice. The butler seems suspicious for me for some reason. |
| Aside from all the other problems pointed out, they completely ignored the rather STRONG possibility that one of the two students she invited could have accidentally ended up between her and the blowgun when it went off. Who knows if someone younger would have survived the same amount of poison, not to mention that she admitted to not knowing how strong it was, so she was completely guessing on how much to use. Easily should be charged for child endangerment at the least. |

| Since Kindaichi, the authors still haven't found out that there is compulsory health insurance in Japan. If they knew, they should have mentioned why the health insurance did not pay, and why life insurance fraud was necessary. Also, the "winning" lottery ticket at the end looked like a forced plot convenience to me. Solving issues by money is no detective style... Weakest story of the series so far. |
