| I thought the entirety of this episode was recap when I checked the discussion before watching it, but in reality it was at most maybe half of the episode so I’m not really upset about it really hyped for the future of this show though, I like this darker tone |

| new OP & ED, felt they were coming after the last ep. Both seem good and pretty much what's expected of MHA songs as of late, don't think either are particular standouts tho. Basically a recap ep for the first half of the season. Deku doesn't mention Iida when mentioning the interns that faced Shigaraki alongside Endeavor, further cementing his sidelining in the overall story lol. So they kill off midnight and a bunch of no-names, tbh really shows a fear to touch more established characters, even when trying to show such devastation the most high profile death is Midnight lol. I get a feeling Horikoshi was likely reigned in by his editor and not allowed to kill off any of the class 1a, either that or it's his own timidity when faced with killing off his characters. Either way the whole Bakugo thing just feels like a main cast death that they couldn't commit to. If it's not obvious from this comment my frustrations with MHA are defo coming to a head this season, if it doesn't end strong, I might have to consider dropping and not bothering with S7. |

| Mostly recap but whatever. New OP looks really good. Lots of cool sequences. Whole hero society is kinda gone to shit etc etc but man they actually killed off a character we know decently well (Midnight). I'm a little impressed. |

| The recap felt painfully unnecessary. Especially since we already got a mini recap a few episodes. The rest of the episode was great. The new opening felt depressing with how Midoriya looked. Definitely feels appropriate with the new direction this show is now going. All of the devastation felt surprisingly grounded which made it all hit much harder. RIP Midnight. |

| While half of this episode was a recap, it was meant to show the aftermath of what happened, which was important. I'm really disappointed that Midnight was killed. That alone was a shocker. |
