| After 9+ years, Tamako Market is surprisingly announcing a new anime project for its 10th anniversary. I believe it'll be a sequel to Tamako Love Story. As a 10th anniversary, I don't think it'll focus again on the now couple Tamako x Mochizou, but instead a little more on the whole cast, if not more than how the movie kept most irrelevant with a brief cameo. Regardless, I'm looking forward to it. Although, I am surprised, considering Tamako Market isn't extraordinary. I think I potentially slightly overrated both the anime and movie at 7/10. I remember them fairly fondly, but the franchise in its story of the anime and movie itself... as good as they are, isn't grand. I think most of us never expected a continuation, so it's surprising to know that it's still popular enough to get a sequel. | Dang it, still no Tomoyo After adaptation (╥﹏╥) (I should really give up on that...) Yeah, I am a bit surprised, since I thought Tamako Market was one of their more obscure anime. Although I guess it's understandable since KyoAni prefer to cash in on their original works now. Despite not being the biggest fan of Tamako Market, I'd watch it. It will be cool to see all the stalls and secondary cast expanded (since I never really warmed up to the main cast much). I wanna see more of that hot Daisuke Ono florist chick.  I wonder if it's going to be one overarching story about the market in general (perhaps they all band together to save the market from closure or something), or whether it will be multiple short stories about the individual stalls/characters in succession (sort of like that Steamed Hams episode of The Simpsons). |
