Overall animation and production of this is was way better than most isekais has. Animation quality was par with something like Re:Zero. It was almost anime movie quality. Also that anime original parts on this episode worked really well. This beginning was better than original in LN. Anime had more emotional impact. Of course we can't translate LN/manga 1:1 to anime because formats are totally different. And how manga is serious?: I'm actually very surprised how good first episode was. Usually most anime and TV-shows has mediocre first episodes because how hard it is to make good first episodes in general. This had almost perfect first episode. Narrative was very well done and ending was perfect. If this production quality keeps up then there is no doubt this will be one of the top anime of seasons with Nier and couple of other anime. |

Totally agreed with you the first episode was perfect and I'm happy that they will probably takes some liberties to adjust stuff in a good way Well it's clearly not always serious but there's some facial expression in the manga that looks "serious" (in my opinion) But with what I saw actually I don't think it's gonna be a problem for them to make those faces I was talking about those type of face   |
