THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol, the creativity of this show is gold. As usual, I love the character chemistry between the characters. Kamuri has such good friends in this show. |

Eiko never telling about her sister which caused some misunderstandings amongst the girls and that was really funny. Anyway Miki had some issues as well seeing her behaviour. And things got a bit complicated. |

Ice Cream, Panties and Eiko's Doppelganger: the episode! Whoulda thunk Eiko had a beautiful imouto? Mickey was it? Or perhaps Miki. Regardless Kamuri and Eiko might as well just get married when they reach that age, they're clearly destined to be together. Kamuri's adorable "yoshi yosh" reassurance head pats re-filling Eiko's power gauge ought to be proof enough of that. Just start wearing pants or a skirt Kamuri, I ain't feeling the loli fanservice. Just not my style. Now if Shion or Hannen stopped wearing pants we might be in business. XD |

So Eiko has a little sister named Miki. They look a lot alike. Kamuri was so cute in this episode. It was amusing when she forgot her skirt twice. |

Another episode showcasing the boundless cuteness of Kamuri. I'm so happy. I think I'm in love. Eiko has it good: She has an interesting sister and a super-cute loli with great affection for her. --- @malikkkk27_: you're watching shit-tier subs. Gotta go with Nii-sama for this show - it's the only sane choice. --- Lolis FTW ~! |

I remember a time, about 7 years ago, when fansubs were good and strong. Anime was something that rarely ever made it outside of Japan before a DVD release. Companies releasing international DVDs had time to get things right; and they did - they cared about their product. But for English anime fans, the wait was long. That's where fansubs came in: passionate fans like us who were bilingual bound together in groups and put great effort into bringing us airing anime with quality subtitles. Some released DVD/BD editions as well with their subs. Some released with official subs stylized to look good - keeping up with with advancements in technology - giving an alternative to the pixellated piss-yellow subs that some companies were still using from the VHS days. Sure there was the occasional turd, but shows were often picked up by multiple groups - each striving to give us the best. Those that chose to troll were quickly identified by fans, lost their reputation, and ultimately ended up disbanding. Anime would eventually become more popular in America and get picked up by companies like CrunchyRoll. American companies began licensing airing anime and releasing it on a tight schedule with the Japanese release - without much time to make a polished product like we got with DVD subs. Unlike fansubbers who are passionate about their work(hobby) and care about their reputation, there is no standard excellence among officially hired translators. Subs needed only be legible. In fact crappy, over-localized subs that were dumbed-down for the masses were encouraged in the interest of appealing to a broader audience at the expense of true anime fans. Now here is the problem: With official subs available before even the fastest fansub group could put something out, many stopped even trying. Many fansub groups went from doing their own translations to just polishing the turd released by crunchyroll to be more accurate and watchable - it's easier than doing everything yourself after all. Most groups went down this path, with few actually staying true to their roots. But one group rules the tier of not-giving-a-shit and releases Crunchyroll/Funimation/Aniplex subs entirely unedited. That group is HorribleSubs. When the official subs are good, they're good; but when the official subs are horrible, they're horrible. No reputation to protect, you take what you get. If you want good subs, get them from someone who cares. |

I've only started watching anime back in 2014, however i also have watch most of the older anime series with different fan subs, only till now i've seen most of the subs are consistent and mudane, directly ripped off from crunchyroll and such. I've underestimated Kamuri in how much of an adorable airhead she can be when she thinks of Eiko a lot. I'm surprised that she got to school without anyone stopping her en route about her missing skirt. Still, having two kittens wake you up in the morning is really cute. =3 As for Eiko, the teacher completely took her off-guard when she inspected her panties and was left really embarrassed. Smooth moves teacher. =P Nice episode once more and the ED card is my favourite so far too. =) |

Eh, wasn't a huge fan of this episode, probably because Kamu is my least favourite character. All I got from this is that she's obsessed with Eiko ... and her parents too apparently. I definitely thought Miki was older since she wasn't in a uniform ... if she's in middle school shouldn't she have one?! Weird lol. The Kannen part was pretty nice this episode, although 5km for a convenience store ... yikes, that's pretty far XD |

So, after my last post about the quality of subtitles, another user asked me how I choose what subs to watch. I decided to post this here so that it can help others as well. Nyaa said: Unfortunately, there is no good answer to every situation. The sub providers change frequently. Good groups come and go. I'll can list some of my go-to ones, but they may not all be around now or in the future. It's best to learn how to pick out good subs for yourself. So how do I do it?... I consult a few sources for each anime to determine which sub group to choose: * My experience - Groups that have done a good job on shows I've previously watched are preferred. * crymore.net - Dark_Sage provides detailed sub comparisons for some shows. * fansub.co - Looking at screenshots to decide for myself which makes the most sense. * MAL Reviews - seeing what other MAL users think in the "Fansubbing Groups" section at the bottom of the anime page. (you must be logged in) * What BakaBT selected as their best version. (And NyaaTorrents's A+ before its death and rebirth) * Reading opinions on forums like Myanimelist and Kametsu (a bunch of decent groups even post on Kametsu) * If need be: Actually downloading multiple subs and comparing them myself. Some things to note: * Crymore.net and Fansub.co may only compare one episode and don't necessarily guarantee quality for the whole season. * MAL reviews often tend to be skewed in favor of HorribleSubs (believe it or not, official subs actually have quite a following here who don't care for improvements) - unless they're egregiously bad like they are for Slow Start. * Consult multiple of the above sources for the best chance of making a good choice. So who do I like: Asenshi, Ayako, Chihiro, DameDesuYo, Doki, EveTaku, FFF, GJM, Harunatsu, Hatsuyuki, Hiryuu, Interrobang, Kaitou, kdfss, KiteSeekers, Lazy Lily, Mazui, Nii-sama, Oyatsu, SallySubs, ShiN-gx, SubDesu, Underwater, UTW, Vivid, Wasurenai, WhyNot There's probably more that I've forgotten about. Some of these may no longer be around, but their work is still out there. If two of these collaborate, you've got an even better chance at a quality product. Since HorribleSubs releases source subs unedited, I'll always go with one of my preferred groups if available as improvements are likely to have been made. Sadly, for some of the less popular shows, they're the only option. BD/DVDs: In addition to some of the groups above, I have found decent BD releases from: CoalGirls, CTR, DmonHiro, Exiled-Destiny, Kametsu, Kira-Fansubs, Polished, THORA, tlacatlc6, Tsundere In many cases, BD release groups combine multiple sources to achieve what, in their opinion, is the best combination of Video, Audio, and Subtitles available. Note: ColaGirls releases are often excessively bloated in size, so I only go with them if there isn't a better release by someone else. On the other extreme, If tiny releases are what you want (I prefer full size): project-gxs. Torllsubs (to be avoided): Commie, gg - originally started out good (may have some acceptable past releases) and turned into deliberate troll trash. Commie did a good job on some of the Monogatari Series, and gg did a good job on Mawaru Penguindrum - but those are the exception rather than the rule. Basically, picking subs is a skill gained with experience. I consult multiple sources and choose for myself. If a translation seems stupid, I'll be inclined to download another to check if it's better. That post in the Slow Start thread is an obvious example: Audio: "do-doppe-gerungar" - an obvious mispronunciation of "doppelgänger" Subtitle: "Doped-up gangbanger" - not even close. ------ How/Where do I get my anime? I always Download the best quality version I can find. I use BitTorrent, XDCC, and DDL in that order of preference. This means I usually get what I want via BitTorrent, but sometimes have to fall back to XDCC for older or more rare anime where torrents may be unseeded. DDL is rarely ever useful in the rare cases where all Torrents are dead, but sometimes it is. Torrents: * I usually start my search at Anime Tosho - it combines torrent sources from Nyaa, Tokyo Toshokan, and AniDex. * I'll sometimes browse those three torrent sites individually too. * Nyaa Pantsu is another NyaaTorrents clone that I frequent (different to the one used by Anime Tosho) * The Minglong tracker is also an option. * If I can't get them publicly on one of the above, I go to BakaBT (I'm a member from before when they closed to the public, but that's my last resort due to ratio concerns of a private tracker and the client white-list causing frustrations with up-to-date qBittorrent software) (Note: to comply with MAL policy, I haven't linked anything but these sites can easily be found by name with a search engine) If all the torrents are dead, I'll get my anime over XDCC (IRC Download) from the respective group. General: The Kametsu forum is a great place for finding decent releases to get via Torrent, XDCC, or DDL - Especially for Dual-Audio BDs. Other: I don't frequent these, but have visited them on occasion: Shana Project (Torrents); anime-sharing (DDL) Most DDL sites and unofficial streaming sites ultimately die. Torrent sites are often last longer and are quickly replaced when they cease operating: When NyaaTorrents died, multiple replacements sprung up. If you found this post helpful, feel free to quote it and re-share it on other parts of this forum if you come across users in need. |

Dorakero said: Still don't understand why this show just get 6.67 in the rating -_- Because it is lewd, pandering, makes no sense left or right and outright stupid. More like Down syndrome than a Slow Start. Ep 1-3 was empty garbage, the episode 4 gave a slight hope it may be onto something meaningful, they found out about a hiki / mojyo halfway between Tomoko and Moriko and helped her solve some of her problems. Then ep5 reverted to an even junkier, mindless state. My Little Pony had more gist. Semi-autistic little princess in her little palace with a small army of servants forgets her skirt to school, for sure. Watching this crap makes you even more twisted and remember the anime / manga industry lives off you! Real girls are not like this, first of all they don't look 9 to 11 at the age of 16 and they have at least 70 IQ, not -25 and they have tremendous EQ and 95% of them are into boys, not lesbo. Your are ruining your chance for a normal life watching titles like this. Sure girl domination / lesbo is hard to avoid in anime, but even girls are capable of meaningful action, e.g. they could go camping, instead of unexplainable constant frolicking. |

This series is already among my favorites and I do not think I'll change my mind any more. Hm. That was probably the most boring episode out yet. I didn't laugh even once (quite the opposite, a lot of jokes felt forced) and 4koma structure of the episode was way too obvious this time. I would go as far as to say that Kamuri is the worst character of this show, not adding anything interesting to the group. And what's more, she's supposed to be sixteen o_O I really don't get how character like her can have any appeal, I don't like loli much but there are literally tons of other anime with better loli characters (don't need to go far here, take Kiniro Mosaic for example). Yeah, boring is the right word. Didn't enjoy this episode at all. |

Well, I don't really like how Eiko commands people around.. So maybe it's alright if she from time to time gets some strong attitude, like teacher showed to her.. It just feels that Eiko wanted to troll teacher, as she usually does.. Even started telling about teacher wetting her clothes.. So it's a bit refreshing that she not always wins as a troll.. I actually don't like this side of Eiko.. She hurts people, really, like that.. So it's alright that she got to taste her own medicine, being embarrassed by teacher who looked at her panties like it's nothing.. I feel that Eiko crosses borders of personal space inappropriately quite a lot herself like teacher did to her in return.. This is turning into some either chuuni or magical girls anime?.. ;P I'm not against.. ;p Quite close moments between Kamuri and Eiko.. They have quite good, close relationship.. Miki is either seriously makes some kind of general conclusions about life from small things, or just plays around.. ;p Hard to say, actually.. With how serious she was on her phone call in Kamuri's memory.. So she might not be really that air-headed.. Maybe it's more complicated, who knows.. |

Kamuri has two cute kitties, Nagomi and Sugomi, meow! =^_^= Haha. Tama went crazy after Kamuri smiled. It was nice to see Hiroe again. "I'm able to go to any convenience store within five kilometers here!" That's great! I'm proud of you, girl. :) Eiko was left completely embarrassed after Enami-sensei inspected her panties, lo. That mental gauge scene was so adorable. Miki is an interesting addition to the show. Those doppelganger theories were hilarious. "Eiko... Um... I was thinking about you this morning and that's why I forgot my skirt." "You were thinking about me?" "All that time... All that time. I missed you! I'm so happy... that I got to see you again!" Kamuri and Eiko are so cute together. ^_^ That cat scene at and end and Kamuri's smile were cute. "I forgot my skirt again." Lol. I think it was the perfect way to end the episode. |

Kamuri's attachment to Eiko is getting weirder by the epidode. And this chapter in the anime veered off into a show about panties and Kamuri snuggling up to Eiko's chest. And she thinks about Eiko in the morning and forgets her skirt? Did I miss the yuri tag on this show? |
