| RIP to the first Kenpachi, Yachiru/Retsu Unohana. I had a feeling she would die to make Zaraki stronger, but it was still sad to see. Having said that, the fight was well-animated and her Bankai was visually amazing. I do agree that the Ichigo scene feels out of place in this episode. The juxtaposition of an intense emotional battle followed by typical wacky Bleach humour is jarring. As much as I'm enjoying TYBW so far, there are some strange pacing decisions. |

But common show me something as cool as Yamamoto's Bankai, As Nodt's fear, Ichigo's arrival to soul society, the Kenpachi's fight and Unohana's bankai...(and what we're going to see next in this cour) Yes TYBW falls off later and is rushed in the end of the manga, but this part they are adapting in this cour is amazing in the manga and it is sublimed even more in the anime. The score is more than deserved |

| Nooo mommy Unohana! It can’t be. I’m so sad, she was a fav of mine since I first started Bleach. It’s crazy to see how strong Zaraki actually was even as a child that Unohana even admitted it. Dude really was born for battle. Another 10/10 episode. Can’t wait for next ep since I know nothing about the manga and Ichigos roots. |
