| This anime is basically like Yakuza but with maids, they got their own turf and skirmishes, lots of gang violence and even get reported on the news like its normal in their universe, it seems that the maid cafes are the Yakuza of this universe |
| Don't think i've ever seen a show curve ball hard enough that i actually ended up catching the ball at the end, but colour me stupid when i say that it actually hit more of my likes then intended. Thought i'd get some SOL Maid café anime were the only action is each café competing for customers, nah instead its the two genres i'm surprised i haven't seen mixed together until today, Maids and Yakuza. I like Maids, but i also like Fire arms and John wick. Mix those two together and u got me hook line and sinker, that is if it obviously plays out well. Like i said before, the themes already have me in with Yakuza maids that can Gunjitsu like its a dance. The story seems ok with Nagomi being oblivious to what she signed up for, interested to see what happens to her. Visuals were aight, the final shoot out had some stupid funny lighting and scenes. The opening is, unique. This show rlly has an opening that captures the nature of it already pretty well. Yeh honestly take me away, if they play this shit like its a John Wick movie but with Maids with a fuck ton of fire arms i'm sold brother. |

| When I saw the trailer, I thought "damn this is going to be crazy". When I got to the opening, I thought "damn this is going to be batshit crazy". When I got to the ending, I thought "okay this is even better than I thought" |
| I wonder what went on in the creators heads to come up with the idea of combining the cold blooded world of the cafe girl maids with the yakuza. More importantly why is the cafe pig themed but do they have a panda as pet?!? |

| I'd almost say to enjoy Maid War, you should learn a little bit about the original first. You'll find they copy full scenes and dialog fragments, story elements and much more. I'm at ep 6/12 now and it's getting better still. Looking at the reviews and "related" sections, hardly anybody on MAL seems to get what this really is. They call it "90s feeling" when it really is 20 years older :) The ED in particular is almost 1:1, OST wise. | The idol performance was really topnotch. I really love her voice for some reason... and the lyrics... reminds me of the old days when we still glorified the maid outfits... such nostalgia! The killing spree made it more spectacular but also gory... Now this is the kind of series that would entertain me. Lovely but gory... lmao |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Gonna give it another episode or two before deciding but this first episode tried way too hard, I probably won't like it if it continues like this. That would be a shame because the premise seems interesting enough. |
