Feel free to send friend requests, messages, or recommendations any time! My tastes vary but I overall prefer action and comedy. I honestly just like fast paced stories! Maybe one day I'll get over my problem of taking years to finish shows.
Life is so hectic that I probably won't be active/update for a while
LOLLL that's so fair. I love that reason honestly. Ooh ok I see...I think I'm more of the opposite honestly. I love heavier plots because I get bored really easily otherwise :))
Ooooh I just realized you had Vinland Saga on hold. What happened there?
I'm glad you mentioned One Piece! I think you should enjoy Gintama then, they're pretty similar. To be fair, One Piece has like really good story telling, whereas Gintama has more of an overarching plot type of story. Definitely agree that you have no excuse though :)) jk but really Gintama is great. The comedy will definitely get you hooked if you're into that, but you'll definitely want to stay for the story as it unravels!
I will watch any genre, and I truly mean any genre.
Vinland Saga was a good watch. It’s been a while but I gave it a lower score because I felt Canute’s growth was portrayed really poorly in the anime. I mean that one guy was killed to serve as a catalyst for her character development, but in the anime it felt too immediate. Like he was killed then next scene she changed immediately. As for Grave of the Fireflies idk…I just didn’t really feel attached 😭.
Also I noticed you added Gintama to your watch list :))
I watched Gintama in sub but before I started watching anime, I've watch very few series in dub like Cowboy Bebop, InuYasha, (early) naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, DBZ, and Death Note. I did hear some good things about FMAB in dub but I watch the series in sub.
Gintama is one of those animes where you just go with the flow in sub. Very funny and makes a lot of anime references/parodies. And for the 1st episode of Gintama.....it was a filler episode.
Nice to meet you! I am currently not watching anything, but I just recently picked up the Trigun manga! it is one of my favorite anime and I heard that the manga is even better! Thank you for friending me back!
RIGHTT like I was expecting more from the main duo but they're not having any characterization moments. And I agree, the action is neat but the dialogue/exposition that happens in between it can be very stiff. But maybe this is one of those anime with a more slow burn style of plot progression idk 🤷🏽 Despite my criticisms I wouldn't say that it's Bad though, so I'll keep watching
Yeah, the reviews are critical which is understandable 😔 it's lacking the oomph to make it an eight or above imo. But still it stands out to me since it's a seinen with witchcraft themes, a good contrast to the rest of the anime airing this season. Definitely lmk what you think!
I'm digging it so far! What caught my attention was Ashaf's VA and that gothic european vibe that the setting has. Once I started watching it I also had to read a few chapters of the manga because the art style is lovely. I'm hoping to see some development from the two main characters soon though, because Guideau feels kind of flat to me. Wbu?
