Good on Kiyoshi for becoming a center. Team Z played against a squad that had a fast pacing but it's cool to see them take a lead. Keisuke is so weird to watch with his creepy expressions though.

Most importantly is the focus on Chigiri this episode as he endured a rough game. Can't say I'm surprised that there's more ego clashe on the field and Team W closing the gap of the scores.

That Raichi guy reminds me of Bakugo.

Is Kuon really betray Team Z? Or is he just pretend to betray to fool Team W? I have a feeling that he has his own plan that no one knows, maybe only Ego knows.

The wanima brothers were one of the most annoying characters in Blue Lock IMO. Even though they were quite the dominant type of players, their personality sucks.
Next episode will be fucking fire.

I don't trust anime characters who have their eyes closed. This betrayal hits hard.

Match-fixing? sort of..but it felt way too forced & convenient to be suddenly introduced in the story but im not complaining.

The animation is still sub-par which by now has me convinced that the studio isn't adept to producing a sports anime. It has been a constant DISAPPOINTMENT

The game was fine, I guess. The two brothers are annoying. They keep focusing on Chigiri so maybe it's time for him to shine? Probably

The next opponent being Team W, they're just as strong as they come, with the Wanima brothers Junichi and Keisuke being a standout. Nevertheless, they stick to their old guns of the same strategy of OperationL Southern Nine Stars, but it's clear that this strategy was already useless to begin with if on the high press. Yes, Chigiri may not have a fleshling past life, but that was then, and this is now to show what he's made of.

Kuon easily impresses in the 1st half of the match, but the Wanima brothers sealed their pushback when Kuon started making simple, but fatal mistakes to give Team W the edge, but it may just be intentional that Kuon himself progresses ahead while the others falter, and it indeed felt like Team Z was cornered, thanks to Kuon's betrayal. Don't forget that as much as this is a team effort, it's also an individual effort, and Kuon allying on Team W's side is also a display of his ego, knowing fully well that his team will not survive well with the undefeated Team V.

Kuon has Team Z on the clasp of their fate, and Isagi must re-learn the hard way: EGOISM, even in the sight of betrayal. That's how you survive in Blue Lock.

Team Z is down 4-3, how would Isagi recover his team from this fatal loss?

Ew the annoying twins. Kuon's a sneaky bitch, although gotta admit I'd do the same if I was desperate enough. It's a win-win situation. Either way, whichever team wins, he passes through Blue Lock. But oof the animation really tanked this episode. Hopefully they're saving the budget for next episode, when my boy gets his time to shine. The pacing was pretty slow too. There were a lot of information that was repeated and could've been skipped, like Kuon and the twins overexplaining the plan when everything could've been easily inferred from him switching sides alone. It was way too suspicious how Kuon scored a hat trick so quickly and easily against a team that's supposedly stronger than team Z. Also,

Since you cant really foul a teammate in footbal can't they all just tackle kuon till he cant play anymore? Then it will be 11 to 10 but have his dreams destroyed as well so win-win. Seems fair to me.

Ooooh, I was wondering when we'd get to the first spicy fixed match. To be fair, if something like this happened irl there would be suspicions but I wonder if something would be done actually. Considering how many cases there already are that is.

Who woulda thunk?

Dinner for breakfast

If (when) they do a comeback and win they will still have Kuon as a teammate and i think Ego might value him very high now as betraying teammates is a pretty ego thing to do but maybe he has some crazy "no that's actually selfless" or "that's actually just cowardly" argument, but he probably just get's redeemed and a good guy again

Goodbye

Kuon kinda already explained it. Even if Team Z wins this match, they'll most likely still get eliminated as a team since they're currently in the bottom team ranking (fourth place out of five but they need to be in the top two), unless they somehow defeat their last opponent, Team V. Which is unlikely, given how much Team V dominated all the other matches. So instead of passing the first selection by winning as a team, Kuon thinks he has a much more secure chance of passing through the first selection by winning as a top scorer. Then no matter what happens in Team Z vs. Team V, he gets to pass through the first selection.
Edit: Oh wait, Kuon could still pass as a top scorer even if he doesn't betray his own team lol. Might be out of spite too since he believes his team is weak as hell, who knows.
Edit #2: As someone explained below, Kuon would still rather betray his own team to not risk letting someone else on his team get a lead as the top scorer.

Well.. I did not either... especially because the oponent has absolutely no benefit in playing along (since they are so strong and won 8-0 against the the other team)... Is it bad writing, or will there be another plot twist in the next episode? I'll find out in one week... :)

For a system that’s looking to create the best scorers for Japan, I don’t see how treachery promotes the ideal. I expect some kind of twist, but hypothetically if the team lost, Kuon should join them out.

he has no hope for team Z. He recognizes that they'll get spanked by Team V so he'll probably try to make a similar deal with Team V as well.

It’s because he has a better chance of finishing as Team Z’ top scorer (which he needs to if Team Z can’t qualify as a whole) by ensuring that no one else on Team Z scores any more goals. If they play all their remaining games with 1 less player (and the opposing team having 1 more player), they are less likely to score.

• They decide to come up with a plan to go against Team W, seems like those two brothers are fast paced and can pass fast but their coach Kuon isn't back yet from "bath".

• Match starts and out of nowhere Kuon scores 3 goals back to back, making it an hattrick, so ofcourse when half time comes they all are happy that they are ahead of them.

• 2nd half begins and everything changed suddenly, Kuon misses everything on purpose and Team Z has yet to discover what for an shit head Kuon is, Isagi notices immediately when Kuon was kneeling that he was smiling but Isagi brushes it off as its probably nothing to worry about. Team Z finally realizing that Kuon is betraying them and that he's an betrayal. Kuon ofcourse explaining how he put his shit plan to work and says that is his plan to survive in Blue Lock. "Only you guys will be going home if we lose." his true colors finally came rising, he is an complete ego and he doesn't care about his team one bit. "I will survive here alone" - Kuon.

• Kuon now being an betrayal joins the other team randomly and now its 12 vs 10.

Team W is on the lead now with 4-3 all because fucking Kuon leaked intel to Team W.

I'm sure Isagi will come with an plan in the next ep.
