Bridget is a male that was forced to dress like a girl and act like one, so a big part of his character was not letting his past control who he was.

Unfortunately they decided to make him trans woman, even though that makes no sense to his, now her, character.

That was part of his character development, his mom wanting him to be a girl and pressuring him into something he isn’t and him growing past it. So it doesn’t make sense that he would be a girl.

I think they did a good job making his character like that, effectively adding to what made him an outcast and made it easier for people to underestimate his abilities which made him more effective as an assassin, he is definitely one of my favorite anime characters and I wish other animes could take notes on how well his character is built, so in short no he should remain a guy and if they made him a girl or something like trans would have ruined his overall character build

Ok, it’s that way in any show. That’s just because for a long time males were seen as dominant over woman. Hell, for a while, woman weren’t allowed to act. But that’s changing. We are getting a lot more female protagonists now. We don’t need to change one character to a female just to help that. It’s already happening on its own. That wld just be pointless.

I don't think you understood what I was saying. In any case, even if there are a few female protagonists in shonen, most of them are not shown the same way as male characters. They tend to have lots of traits traditionally associated with women, so that, in the end, they are displayed weaker and softer than males (and obviously, as I previously said, sexualised).
