| The final confrontation with Chisato and Mashima was rather satisfying to watch. Just the lighting alone really elevated that scene, but, even beyond that, I could hardly take my eyes off of the action. The dialogue was a bit heavy-handed, but I was still fine with it overall. And, that conclusion was rather epic. Other than that, once again, I'm not surprised Chisato survived. Which is fine, they handled that pretty well. I didn't feel like it was too cheesy or anything, and her sneaking out of the hospital room and running away was rather amusing. Though, one of my favorite scenes, of the whole series, might be in the final few moments with the "Hawaii" cameo with Kurumi's deely bobber. This doesn't need a sequel, but I would be okay if they ended up making a follow-up movie. I'm afraid a full season sequel would end up being not nearly as good as this first season. But; I'm just saying, if they did a movie -- with a solid, tight script -- I'd watch it. |

| I like how they can casually went to Hawaii after all of that. Ponytail Takina. I said ponytail Takina. The after-credit scene was so funny too. Overall I'm satisfied with the ending. Glad they can be happy together as always~ |

| I actually wasn't expecting the finale to be like this and I'm pretty satisfied nonetheless. Despite the dark route that some people might have been anticipating the show to go, I have to say that considering its target I don't mind the show not going that way. Yes, it had the potential to do so but I don't think that was the point ultimately. It sure threatened us to do so multiple times though and I was convinced at one point that Chisato would ultimately kick the bucket, but at long last it was the crazy man behind the briefcase who took that step. Anyway, this was probably the show I've enjoyed the most this season, and I've been following Made in Abyss season 2 as well as Call of the night btw. The actions in this and every other episode were so smoothly directed and choreographed that they do indeed resemble the John Wick movies in an anime form. Every hit has a punch, every shot looks on target and every time Chisato has her rubber ammo at disposal you're sure to see quite the stunts. And the show doesn't stop there in terms of eye candy, oh no-no. In what is probably as good of a part of the show as the last aspect, the character dynamic that forms in a few episodes is just a joy to watch. From Takina's growth from her departure from DA thanks to Chisato to Kurumi being the showman hacker who goes way over the top for most simple tasks to even Mizuki who had her own selfish posture that cracked a laugh in me in contrast to the rest (I think she reminds me of Swirdward in that sense). Indeed, the colorful bunch (red, blue, yellow and green) made the "Blend S"-ish part of the anime that much more enjoyable that one would assume. But if I had to pick a color out of the case, red would certainly have to be it. Chisato as a character is such a model, not in a fashionable kinda way (well actually she actually is) but in the human one. The way she deals with life in general with a smile is something I aspire to do. And it's not like she's just ignoring the problems coming to her. She deals with them but doesn't let them get her spirits. Right up to what she thought her last moments were she carried the ideals about not killing people and her reasoning is also established during the show. Also, she lifts the moods of everyone around her and with her skills she gets the respect she deserves even from characters like Majima who battle with their own ideals from their own ideals. Yes, it is true that there are some aspects of the story that can come off as plot holes or inconsistencies such as how the tower incident was covered up or the solution to Chisato heart failure, but to me those weren't that outlandish coming from a series that had established rubber ammo as going though vehicles but not people. In other words, it wasn't meant to be taken that seriously, even if the point is somewhat valid, and that's fine by me. I have to say that in case this has a sequel I'd be delighted to watch it but fearful of what it could do to what loose ends were left by the end. For now, rewatching the best moments would do. | I really liked the ending!!! Being an original anime, this has a chance for a season 2. All the characters in this show were interesting and fun to watch. This would definitely be one of my top 3, this summer!!!! |

| Damn, an A-1 original anime that is actually good? Must be a cold day in hell. Pretty good show that fell apart in the last act but had a decent enough ending. Chisato was total chad and I loved every moment she was on screen. Big fan of Misaki Kuno so Kurumi was a treat. "Aloha" indeed The last episode much like the rest of the climax was wonky. The countdown timer was on some reverse DBZ logic. Went from an hour to less then 30 minutes in no time but I did love the snack break. But man, Majima really survived that fall? Chisato really survived getting Gwen Stacyd? I'll allow it I guess. Def would've bumped the show up a point if they actually killed Chisato but I doubt this is getting another season so I guess a mostly happy ending is fine. |

| 9/10. Definitely the Summer 2022 AOTS for me. I did like this ending, they closed off most of the important points while leaving some rooms for either an OVA, a movie or a second season, Majima is still alive, they sure will be able to continue the story there. And the ending shows the gang is in Hawaii, maybe Lycoris Recoil: America or something like that. I'll miss Chisato and Takina every week, AI Pictures/Cloverworks really did a great job making two amazing characters and not to mention the yuri baits. |

| I'm very happy on how this one ended especially with Chisato living. Sure the action and plot were like a side stuff but the main attraction for this show is Chisato and Takina doing cute things together, develop as characters and them being in action. Sure some people may want a darker, more serious plot but there are plenty of movies and TV series to cover that with some already been done to death. I obviously going to give this a 10/10 with the good mixture of fun cute girls doing cute things + action and the great world building Lycoris Recoil did. Sure there may be some issues but I love this especially with the chemistry of Chisato and Takina. |
| Remember kids, while Chisato won't kill you...Takina and, apparently, Mika, very well will. I hope we'll see at least an OVA if not a second season, as there was a lot left dangling. What will happen with the rest of those guns out there? Does Majima really just want to watch the world burn, or is there more that motivates him? How did he survive? What does he do after that? When does DA find out that he's still alive, and how do they react? What does the public do now that they've heard about the Lycoris (even if some believe it was all a show, do they all)? So, a decent ending if this is a season finale, but too many threads left dangling and unresolved to end at this point and still be satisfying. |

| Yesssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Happy new birthday" Thanks for killing me, here's your heart, I wish for your happiness. Jesus this guy, amazing I ended up hating him more than the literal terrorist. Thank you Mika for pulling the trigger. The fight was great. Loved to hear the OP, it was so exciting. Even the break time was cool and Majima managed to troll Chisato until the very end with his "bomb". He was a pos but he had some nice chemistry with Chisato that was fun to watch. Takina and Chisato jumping and bumping into each other while tied up made me laugh xD. And then the butt hug is back! I love seeing the two of them happy. Chisato looked so good in those summery clothes and Hawaiian outfit <3. The post-credits scene was hilarious.... "I don't speak english"... "A-lo-ha" lol. Man, what a ride. Chisato and Takina's chemistry was so good and the overall dynamic of the cafe members was so fun to watch. Chisato is easily the best girl of the season, she is such a bundle of charisma and joy that you can't not love her, it would have been unfair for her to die so getting to the end and seeing her alive and happy made me happy. Props to Chika Anzai for making her so lovely. Season 2, please? We have that Lilybell who glanced at Chisato, Majima still being alive somehow and what the hell, just the ship makes for a sequel. They could make an episodic sol and it would sell. 10/10 I'm gonna miss Chisato and Takina. |

| Super safe finale. Not that it would have gone any other way tho. Chisato is too much of a waifu to be killed and Majima was practically immortal before this episode so of course a fall from hundreds of meters to solid concrete would have done nothing to his persona. And so it concludes. One of the worst anime from this season, writing-wise. Its first couple of episodes were somewhat decent but everything went downhill the moment they explained Chisato's ridiculous dodging bullets ability (Ep.3?) and when they presented Majima with the most bullshit plot armour I have seen in a while. Everything else was just a bonus: - Yoshimatsu as well as Alan institute never receiving proper context yet we were supposed to take them seriously. - The second artificial heart asspull. - Takina becoming a stormtrooper when the plot needed it. - Majima reaching omnipresent and omnipotent status when he started killing Lycoris... with a car. - Chisato defeating an entire terrorist group when she was... what? 9, 10 years old? - Kurumi's absurd hacking abilities. - That one Lycoris collapsing and dying after receiving a shot... in the arm. - People, either terrorists or Lilybells, not being able to hit Chisato when the girl was just walking or hanging defenceless from a beam. - Citizens in this show being practically deaf, braindead or both. - Chisato stating that she wants to help others yet she let a terrorist go free twice, detonating the whole Enkuuboku incident as result. But of course, that "wasn't part of her job". - Etc. But well, given they didn't have the courage to kill neither Chisato nor Majima's characters, a sequel is more than guaranteed at this point. Will its writing be as atrocious as this mess of a first season? Only time will tell... 2/10 - By the way, RIP Sakura's mouth at the beginning of the episode. Like seriously, what the fuck happened with that chin? |

| Well, this didn't turn out like I expected... aside from Chisato surviving. The way her death was teased told me there was zero chance of the show delivering, especially with such an obvious way out. At first, I really expected this show to go deep and wide on worldbuilding. There appeared to be so much context and history there, and certain Lycoris missions had a real GITS or Psycho-Pass vibe to them. Alas, it was all pretty self-contained in the end. It feels like a shame for the scope to wind up being so small, but honestly, that's the smart way to go for an anime original. The alternative likely would've been to bite off more than the show could chew, especially in only 13 episodes. So in that sense, it's satisfying enough to see things actually wrap up properly. And what is lacking in scope, the animators and Chisato's VA made up for. Seriously, Chika Anzai deserves an award for that performance! While you could accurately label Chisato with tropes, that would be a disservice to her screen presence. She feels like nothing you've ever seen before, and that is 100% down to Anzai's portrayal and the fluidity of her every (highly expressive) motion. Sadly, as much as I'd love to rank Lycoris Recoil a 9 on these merits alone, the story ultimately leaned too much on contrivances to maintain the gravitas it was set up with. There's many interesting ideas there, but almost none of them attained the heights they could have, and I don't foresee a sequel improving on the situation. This is a case where the loose threads are best left unresolved so you can be satisfied with whatever headcanon salvages the plot for you. With that, I'm happy to call this one of the best 8/10s you'll ever see. I just couldn't rate it any higher in good conscience. |
| A good ending. Most things wrapped up, and Chisato being cute in the end with her Hawaiian outfit. I wish this anime didn't have the token character and attributes, seems like the woke garbage is going over seas. i'd rate it a 9 if it werent woke, but the garbage brings it to a 7. |

| This anime was a mess for me and the finale wasn't too enjoyable either. Really underwhelming and poorly written show as a whole for me, although I never really vibed with the characters either. So not too many elements where I can find positives with here besides some action cuts earlier on and the opening/ending. |
