You have are least one different show airing this season with onee-san x shota action. Also, it has generic childhood friend in love with dense MC, who will obviously lose to THE main girl, generic magic school setting etc. I wouldn't say it is utterly generic, because side characters actually stand out for me. Especially Rex. But saying that it is unique is just plain wrong. |

But saying that it is unique is just plain wrong. only one more seems pretty rear to me , its still not an overused concept that still add a refreshing touch to any setting including a fantasy world , sure it's not 100% original but it's not an overused conceptether, At least thats what I feel about it |

| It's an ecchi anime with nice visuals and likable characters, something so simple but not so common. The plot isn't Vermeil's strong point, of course. |

| I think it does the whole supernatural ecchi stuff with op girls very nicely. Not as silly as DxD for instance, more to the point than Rosario to Vampire and with a type of hero / girl I enjoy more than the sort that's displayed in Testament. Maybe it is most similar to Kanokon which I also regard highly. But here it's a bit more weighted towards dramatic events and a bit less ecchi, so to me it seems like it has been a worthwhile pursuit to make an anime like that again, and after all it's been a while. Maybe I'm not aware of another show like that that's come out in the meantime. Until shown otherwise, I would tend to agree with the sentiment that this take on ecchi supernatural romance is unique enough. So yeah, I think we can't have enough of these shows. There's much room for improving the execution of the formula and this is on the right track if I ever saw it! If anything I grant that these series could start exploring some other body parts. Some more feet or butt action would do wonders for the state of ecchi animation. ("Watch Keijo or Reviewers!", I hear you cry (at least I would expect Reviewers to deliver a bit more on that angle, I couldn't bear verifying that myself) – these shows just have set-ups that are too silly for my taste. DxD was sorta promising in the start but went very much into the same direction with its astoundingly stupid Demon World and the terrible Oppai Dragon song/show detail that ended up getting way too much importance. I hope Vermeil won't veer into a comparably misguided direction.) --- Some may say that I'm writing entirely beside the point – harem or not harem and all that. But that distinction is beside the point to me – all just different facets on a continuum to me which I wholly embrace.) Okay, this is the end of my musings on ecchi anime. Thank you for reading. |
