 The Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Anime Expo announced on Sunday an anime adaptation of Chugong's Solo Leveling manhwa. The panel also revealed the main staff, teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023 on Crunchyroll.Staff Director: Shunsuke Nakashige (Megami-ryou no Ryoubo-kun., Sword Art Online: Alicization episode director) Series Composition: Noboru Kimura (Kemono Jihen, Kyoukai Senki) Character Design: Tomoko Sudou (Fragtime, Imawa no Kuni no Alice (OVA)) Music: Hiroyuki Sawano (86, Shingeki no Kyojin) Studio: A-1 Pictures Chugong began writing the action adventure series as a web novel on the Kakao website and was published by D&C Media from July 2016 to March 2018 in 14 volumes. A webtoon adaptation drawn by Sung-rak Jang began in Kakao in March 2018 and ended on December 29 last year. Yen Press licensed the manhwa and web novel in English in August 2020 and shipped the fourth volume of the manhwa on May 10. Synopsis Ten years ago, "the Gate" appeared and connected the real world with the realm of magic and monsters. To combat these vile beasts, ordinary people received superhuman powers and became known as "Hunters." Twenty-year-old Sung Jin-Woo is one such Hunter, but he is known as the "World's Weakest," owing to his pathetic power compared to even a measly E-Rank. Still, he hunts monsters tirelessly in low-rank Gates to pay for his mother's medical bills. However, this miserable lifestyle changes when Jin-Woo—believing himself to be the only one left to die in a mission gone terribly wrong—awakens in a hospital three days later to find a mysterious screen floating in front of him. This "Quest Log" demands that Jin-Woo completes an unrealistic and intense training program, or face an appropriate penalty. Initially reluctant to comply because of the quest's rigor, Jin-Woo soon finds that it may just transform him into one of the world's most fearsome Hunters. | Not too familiar with Solo Leveling but sounds like one of those power fantasy comics, but A1 can be good when they try, my main worry is how the story will be paced because that was my biggest problem with GOH and Noblesse. |

I don't care whatever people say I have faith in A-1 picture studio because they made Your lie in April and SAO Alicization it both have epic level of animation...... If it works perfectly then Solo Leveling anime would be A-1 picture's one of the best animes....... I hope they can pull of this epic level of animation on this too ..... As they have a lot of time to work on it the end result might be great..... |

| A-1 might put another production assistant in the seat of Anip. Script writer is good so it will not end up like GOH and TOG do rejoice . The director is capable of supervising action stuffs and character deisgner is pretty good experienced. Sawano was taken from 86 .. all leveling up scenes with high tier ost yess and especially the double dungeon. Full staffs ain’t announced so I don’t know who will be the art director, color deisgner , photography and cgi etc.. but I hope they are also good . |
